Don't waste your time
roberthall-1282615 February 2023
Roseanne is not well. From what I saw on this special was Fox putting a mentally ill woman on stage just to prove they think she still has it. Unfortunately she tanked. She doesn't move around at all, stuck standing behind the microphone stand, not even taking the mic out. She's too busy using tissues and handkerchiefs to blot her runny nose. I had second hand embarrassment for her.

Her timing is all off and I noticed that even when she was on the Roseanne reboot that her timing is all over the place.

I miss the Roseanne from the 80's and 90's. This special just proved she needs to retire and seek some mental help. Embarrassing!

Waste of time
I was hoping to laugh as I watched her owned the libs but I couldn't even giggle at the horrible whining she did on stage.

She is clearly mentally ill with only yes people around here, the decision to film this as a special was a horrible idea.

Roseanne is who we all thought she was, an obnoxious racist who used to have a platform.

Fox should be ashamed! Help this woman not give her a platform!

Instead of trying to make a buck from Roseanne the people surrounding her need to say no and get her the mental healthcare she so desperately needs.

I will pray for you Roseanne!

She needs our help, please HELP ROSEANNE!

Man am I sorely disappointed
vpspsz23 April 2023
So disappointed. I love Roseanne and she spent over half the time repeating how ungrateful her children are. None of the jokes were very funny. The entire show was just complaining not real jokes no belly laughs. I purchased the fox app to see the show because of how much I had missed Roseanne since she had been Mia for quite a while. It was very difficult to watch as she wasn't dressed for the part and the pigtails looked silly. Not real at all it looked like a mess. I am worried for her mental Health because she does seem to bash her self on several occasions and she just appears so angry. I know callus is her disposition. I just wished it was funny and not plain painful.

Funny stuff. Welcome back Rosanne.
cwvuola17 February 2023
I was never really a Rosanne fan, not because she isn't funny, but because her voice always annoyed me. I never gave her much of a chance. I decided to watch her special. I'm glad I watched because she is really funny. Her jokes are well thought out. I hope this special gives her the bump she needs to restore her career. She is still relevant and deserves a second chance. She has a great outlook on her family, her career, and her personal life. She leaves it all out on the stage. If you are pro America, patriotic, and can't stand cancel culture, this will be fun for you to watch. Anyways, enjoy.

Cancel This? Gladly!
oz_13_was_taken23 March 2023
Roseanne Barr has had some troubles, and by troubles I mean consequences of her own actions. But, of course, this wasn't her fault, it was "woke cancel culture." This special is absolutely terrible, and not because it's offensive, it's because it's so unfunny and there are so few actual jokes that it is painful to watch. It's rather sad seeing her fall from her 'Roseanne' show, which had an amazing first few seasons. That was comedy GOLD. Actual jokes and characters that were relatable. This is just Roseanne standing on a stage and making statements that she knows will get responses from the republican crowd. Most of the raucous audience reactions were clearly edited onto the end of "jokes" that most likely got small pity laughs. Not worth the time at all.

Seems to the temp of the world.
Aw50020 February 2023
Roseanne is no stranger to a large audience. I thought she delivered it very well. She brings a refreshing comic delivery of criticism and just real live experiences, Some of which are not spoken about very much.

I don't mind a little raw comedy once in awhile. I thought she had a good balance of sarcasm, Current events and just average life in general. I don't believe comedy should be regulated at all, Regardless what it's about, People need to laugh and she can do just that, Make you laugh.

Keep it up Roseanne..

With the current temp of cathodic things going on today, We welcome more like her to the stage.

9 Stars.

Average special with above-average hype
hhg217 February 2023
I am a bit puzzled by this entry in the database. After several decades of use, I have never seen an entry that has been rated by several hundred people (more than 500 at the time of my viewing), yet less than a handful are available for review. Is it possible that so few people were willing to go on record or is some type of cultural proxy war taking place? I think you have to have an account to vote your rating, right? Did people have an account, vote, but were disinterested in commenting? That seems so non-IMDb.

In any event, I thought her special uneven but certainly better than her current average rating of about 2.6. I have never been much of a fan of hers, both in her early stand-up days and later in her sit-com megaglory days. I decided to view it just out of curiosity. She is obviously on a mission and thinks that taking on as many taboos will strike the audience's fancy. Perhaps so, but I think she'd be better served by refining her jokes and stories. Perhaps after 16 years being away from the stand-up stage (or so I've read), she's just rusty.

Someone Please Get Roseanne Help
Brin20707 January 2024
Warning: Spoilers
Roseanne Barr's new comedy special falls far short of the mark, showcasing a comedian who has lost her comedic touch and appears to be grappling with mental health issues. Once celebrated for her sharp wit and fearless humor, Barr now delivers a performance that feels disconnected and lacks the comedic brilliance that once defined her.

The special's jokes often come across as forced and outdated, relying on tired stereotypes and offensive humor that no longer resonates with today's audience. Barr's attempts at humor frequently miss the mark, leaving the viewer cringing rather than laughing. It's clear that she struggles to adapt to the evolving landscape of comedy, and her material lacks the cleverness and insight that once made her a comedic force.

Furthermore, throughout the special, Barr's delivery seems erratic and disjointed, raising concerns about her mental well-being. Her once-confident stage presence is replaced with an unsettling energy that leaves the audience questioning whether this performance is a cry for help rather than a genuine attempt at humor.

While comedians often push boundaries and challenge societal norms, Barr's attempts at edginess come off as desperate rather than daring. The audience is left feeling uncomfortable rather than entertained, highlighting the stark contrast between her current work and the groundbreaking comedy she was once known for.

In conclusion, Roseanne Barr's new comedy special is a disappointing and disconcerting departure from her former comedic glory. The lackluster material and apparent struggles with mental health make it difficult to find enjoyment in what was once a celebrated career. This special serves as a stark reminder that even the most iconic comedians can lose their way, leaving audiences longing for the brilliance that once defined their humor.

Welcome Back Rosanne!
avakay-9828716 March 2023
So good to see Roseanne again. She never should have been canceled. Her show, that she created, was taken away from her and her TV family went on without her as if she never existed. Her own show killed her off. Yet other comedians can insult everybody and nobody cancels them. Roseanne has some pretty good jokes in this stand up routine. Mostly she calls out the woke liberals and tells them how it really is. She talks about the covid vaccine and women on hormones. Her bucket list is pretty funny. I liked her denim outfit. She looked in overall good health for her age but she did have a cold. Hope she does go on a stand up tour.

A must see. Rosanne is back !!
jiant-2402314 February 2023
The truth hurts but feels so good to hear someone speak out. A must see. Roseanne speaks about her life , challenges and also tough love. She brings her opinions very clear and means what she says. I would recommend to all audiences to watch her comeback and support Rosanne. Her life is alot different than we know until you hear her discuss her highs & lows. If you loved Rosanne, the original show, then this performance will show you she is the real deal. No Hollywood executive pulling her strings. Support Rosanne as shee needs to take this show on the road.

I feel she has a story to tell with alot of humor.

Keep up the great work Rosanne & keep the soft harder laughing.welcome back !!

This is healing.
jen-4415516 March 2023
This is more cathartic than it is hilariously funny, and that's why I loved it. But it's funny too, don't get me wrong. You just have to understand what this woman has been through and her pain. Roseanne was a champion for ALL for decades and they refused to allow her to even explain herself, to apologize. SHE had the first gay kiss on network tv, NOT Ellen. But they obviously couldn't control her, so first chance they got she's out. But here she is, she's still standing. She'll get back to hilariously funny. In the meantime, thank you to Fox Nation for giving her a chance. We love you Roseanne!!

Welcome back with open arms.
usedmeat12 March 2023
I think she's still awesome and one of the funniest female comics of our time since Lucy. She keeps it real and has that down home realness that I think most people can relate to. It's so nice to see that she's had the love and support of her family all this time. And in my opinion politicians deserve to be called out and even shamed for their actions or lack there of, contributing to the current unimproved ugly state of our world. I vote to deny access to those underground dooms day bunkers to all political figures who are responsible and have brought us to the brink of nuclear war. I stand by her bold views and happy to see that after all this time she's still one of the regular folk. Keeping it real. Love her!

Perfection still going strong
Embellishedstar25 March 2023
It's clear as the eye can see that the mob hate mentality is still trying to drag this wonderful woman down. It's shameful how these people are told who to love and hate and they all just follow along like lost and neglected puppy dogs.

This show is just a giant bug off to all the weirdos out there that cannot comprehend the ability to just scroll on if they're incapable of laughing. So serious most of these reviewers are, it's NO WONDER the world is as sad as it is today. The people need wonderful comedians like Roseanne, Dave Chappelle and Don Rickles to remind them to not be so uptight and laugh a little. I pity fools who hold onto so much hate.

This show was and is a breath of fresh air from the stale and boring recited politically correct narrative that's quite literally shoved down all of our throats almost daily.

Roseanne is back b!tches
Roseanne has once again knocked it out of the park. Her quick humor, fun jokes and all around awesome personality steal the show. 100% worth the watch. Roseanne Barr is the queen of comedy, always has been and always will be! True to the way she has always been Roseanne is keeping it real. Using her real life experiences and every day thoughts in her creative comedy. No filters. She tells it like she sees it. No joke is off limits. After all, jokes are jokes people! If you followed Roseanne's routines years ago and enjoyed them. Watch! This will take you back in time yet keeps it fresh too. The one and only original Domestic Goddess covers topics that all can relate to. Comedy is BACK thanks to Roseanne.

Welcome back!
dpenna328017 April 2023
I absolutely loved seeing you back with your stand up show. I know you didn't mean anything harmful with your comment which almost all stand up performers have done in the past, and they never even gave you a chance to ask. It's so damn sad that people can't take a freaking joke at this point and time. Richard Pryor, Eddie Murphy and others could say anything and get away with it, but Roseanne gets the heave ho, and not one of the cast members John Goodman to be exact stood up to defend her. Melissa Gilbert should feel real proud of herself for throwing Roseanne under the bus. The Conners is nothing more than a woke piece of absolutely garbage!

Love Roseanne!!
corine-137748 May 2023
The only reason this is rated low is because the liberals hate her LOL buck if crybabies!!! This was a great special and finally good to see her make a comeback after all these years of being silenced. You can't silence the queen!! You can tell that she wasn't allowed to say certain things though which sucked! We live in a world were everyone cries and gets offended over literal COMEDY. If you live Roseanne give it a watch and support her! We need more people to be like her, not afraid to say what everyone is thinking! Not afraid to cower and hide! I look forward to her next adventures! Long live the queen💗
