Wrong turn 8 with cross-species.

When you have no budget for a horror you either pick the in-the-woods genre or the zombie flick. This one obviously picked the first one.

Now about the movie itself I have very few things to elaborate because as the saying goes, if you have nothing good to say, stay quiet.

The monsters here are terrible and they make no sense. They provide no scares, no tension or suspense but sadly, only torture porn. A lot of explicit on screen torture in order to shock, because it just couldn't do more. Very cheap production that relied on never ending screams, dark scenes and very bad characters. Such movies should stop appearing, these aren't the 80s anymore, when people where still experimenting. It just isn't something anyone would like to see.

Can you imagine inviting someone to view this one?

• Hello, would you like to see a horror about three blind rat men that go around killing people in the woods, as graphic as possibe on a micro budget?

Sadly..Three Blind Mice was made. I'm quite furious I got to see this..but someone had to take a bullet for the horror community. The one good thing I can say about it is the fact that it shows the villains from the very first scene and once you lay your eyes on them, you'll know what to expect.

Avoid this. Try movies like Creep 2004, Mimic 1997 or Devil's Pass 2013. Those are fun.

Giving it 4 for its attempt

I like the odd cheap horror movie, but some are just so bad I can't even watch past 10 mins ( canibal cabin ) for one.

Yes the acting is terrible, the cgi is mega drive era and the costumes are not the best. But like I said I have seen worse.

I kept watching to the end because I was intigued and to be fair I found it quit interesting and something different.

Had this have had a bigger budget I think I would have really enjoyed it alot more. The main thing I found that let it down apart from the above mentioned, is the sound effects. Hits and kills have no sound, and it sounded like it was filmed in a warhouse off of a phone. It was tinny and echoed.

But not bad for a budget horror and if you enjoy cheap thrills it's ok.

I enjoy bad horror films, but this was unwatchable.

Where do I start? The horrendous acting? The non-existent story? The fact this entire film feels like it was written and filmed in the span of two hours?

You'll know within the first 5 minutes whether you'll be able to bear watching this crapfest. The whole thing honestly felt like anohter 'Wrong Turn" sequel, and if you've ever seen those, you KNOW how pathetic they are towards the end.

The acting is pathetic, the characters are some of the worst written I have seen in a film, and the plot feels like they just made it up as they filmed. The ONLY saving grace of this film is that the special effects and makup are decent. Not good, but decent. (That gives it an additional star)

This new wave of Children's characters turned into horror films trend had so much promise when it was first proposed, but after seeing what it has been so far, I want it to disappear from the horror film scene of eternity.

There just isn't anything of substance here. Even if you like bad horror, you'll struggle to find much in this one.

I was rooting for the mice at the end

Never have I wanted a main character to meet her demise more than I did watching this film. Three-quarters of her dialog was screaming and crying, and she did it in the most annoying manner possible (though I imagine I'd make some rather annoying sounds myself if I was attacked by mutant rat-people in the woods or anywhere else for that matter). I do give the film some points for make-up and gore, though it should have been more of a gorefest given how bad it was in scares. Amazingly (sarcasm intended), the characters use no logic whatsoever when fighting blind, mutants that move at the pace of a giant tortoise. Oh look, her back is turned for 10 minutes - I wonder what will happen. And the sound the mutants make is horribly annoying as well, and it doesn't look like it's even coming from them.

I needed a mind-numbing horror movie after watching a couple dramas that had me in tears, but this was just too mind-numbing and annoying to recommend.

Waiting for the twist...

Wouldn't this have been a crackerjack of a movie if the ending turned out to be a set up? You know...I could envision all the 'dead' characters coming back to life...the intervention would have been a huge success and Abigail would have sworn off drugs forever! SURPRISE!!

However, sadly, this is not the case.

Although the mutants could not see, they could hear screams (so many deaths!) and smell. If Abigail was smart, she should have doused herself in gasoline and escaped. That would have removed the need for awful CGI effects. And don't get me started on the hair color and horrible throaty cries from the 'star'.

Everything was better than the abomination that was Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey. Need we say more?

The cast was superb, the mice themselves look significantly more like human-animal hybrids when compared to Pooh and Piglet in their first horror outing, the music was fantastic. Everything was on point. My only complaint about it was that it did feel admittedly rushed at times, although the mice's origins of being created in labs were creative.

Other than that, this movie, along with the Mary Had a Little Lamb horror movie, were better than Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey by a landslide.

A fun enough cheesy creature feature that has some problems

After a drug overdose, a group of friends decides to take their friend on a special rehab trip into the woods to help get her clean, but while they stay there come across a family of deformed creatures living in the woods who torture and kill everyone they come across forcing them to get away alive.

Overall, this was a pretty fun and likable genre effort. Among the finer aspects here is the generally enjoyable setup that manages to interject the classic nursery rhyme into the film's overall approach. The main approach of this one, trying to use the trip to get their friend ready for rehab after the drug overdose and encounter she has offers a rather fun reason for getting them out into the woods where they can encounter the creatures running wild in the area. As we're given enough to understand what the friend group is like, how hard they're trying to genuinely help her and get enough of a handle on how she's taking their interests with her that the creature confrontations come off rather nicely. This allows for a fun series of cheesy situations with the creatures. The opening attack on the strangers running through the woods is a fine start with the brutal encounters being quite shocking, setting this up nicely for the creatures to attack the house and overwhelm everyone there resulting in them being found in gruesome traps. With its effective nature this comes off with a comfortable dive into Torture Porn alongside more traditional stalking to gather them as victims leading into a nice finale, there's some unexpected touches here that make this slightly more amusing than at first glance, which alongside the fine low-budget creature effects are what make this one quite fun. There are some issues with this one that hold it back. The biggest issue here is the first half getting the group out to the woods where the creatures live which doesn't have the tempo to stay interesting the whole time. Several of the attempts to keep her there and in the treatment process isn't the most logical either so it's somewhat flimsy how they can overlook some of the attacks going on so that they can stay there for her to keep the creatures from being explained since this has nothing about them. As well, you've also got to deal with the whole scenario in place which is immensely cheesy and might be an issue for some to get over, being the main issue holding this down.
