Approximately 8,000 feet of film featuring local Native Americans was shot in and around the city of Cushing, Oklahoma.
The movie had only a brief showing in a few Oklahoma theaters because Young Deer ended his partnership with co-producer Frank L. Thompson and sued him. All prints of the film are believed to be lost.
The movie's leading actress, Lillian A. King, was a Creek Indian and at the time married to James Young Deer not to be confused with his first wife Red Wing, also known as Lillian St. Cyr.
