On Sabah, a Malaysian part of huge island Borneo, Bear is helicopter-dropped on a height in the vast, pristine jungle, knowing rescue is to be found down in the valleys, where most settlements are. It's a tough job getting down trough dense canopies, off steep slopes and trough wild water that swells rapidly with dangerous debris and painful as he lands on his back jumping in, with a leech bite he cures by medicinal plant. He's excited exploring a cave, uncharted part of a vast system, with a self-made torch. Food is scarce or hard to get, except with the local type of fast-made fish trap. He 'nests' in a tree orangutan-style. Rains render a stream dangerous, but bamboo is ideal to construct a raft and reach civilization.
