Just in time for the election, EW has teamed with research firm Experian Marketing Services to present the favorite TV shows of Republicans and Democrats. Below are dozens of series whose audiences tend to skew heavily toward one political party or the other. To some extent, the results confirm partisan stereotypes: Dem favorites include snarky comedies like NBC's Community, Saturday Night Live, and IFC's Portlandia, liberal-messaging shows such as Comedy Central's The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, HBO's Real Time with Bill Maher, and Aaron Sorkin's The Newsroom; plus there's a dash of science-based programming like Fox's Cosmos miniseries and PBS' Nova.

"The American Bible Challenge" was back for a second week, and it brought a new challenge with it, dubbed "The Eye of the Tebow." The premise was simple enough, if certainly difficult for anyone who's not either a hardcore fan of NFL player Tim Tebow, or really knows their Scripture.
Contestants had to fill in the blanks of Bible verses Tebow wore under his eyes during his college football days. They even had a picture to look at to draw inspiration from.
Only, it wasn't a picture of Tim Tebow. It was host Jeff Foxworthy's face instead.
"You know, I never realized Tim Tebow was so good looking. He’s always got that helmet on," Foxworthy said. "That is a handsome man right there."
The audience was loving the show in the studio, as were viewers at home. Broadcasting & Cable reported that 2 million viewers tuned in for last week's series premiere,...

Newsday wondered why it took so long for this format to make its way to television, but its here now. Gsn premiered their new game show, "The American Bible Challenge" (Thu., 9 p.m. Et), which is about a self-explanatory as a title can be.
Jeff Foxworthy was on board as host, taking contestants through rounds that had them exploring the Bible in different ways. In this premiere, that meant at one point identifying if a quote was from the Bible or "The Lord of the Rings."
In another twist, "Faithbook" created fake Facebook status updates from various Biblical people, leaving the contestants to identify whose status update it was.
The Washington Post wasn't all that impressed, calling the game show "as dull as it sounds." They wrote that it made them think of "mandatory fun time at Sunday school."
Tune in for "The American Bible Challenge" every Thursday at 9 p.

The Game Show Network debuted a new game show Thursday night (Aug. 23) -- "The American Bible Challenge," hosted by Jeff Foxworthy. Did you tune in?
The show features three teams of three contestants, each playing for $20,000 for a charity. The rounds featured categories like What Do You Noah 'Bout the Ark? and postings from various Biblical characters' "Faithbook" pages.
The winning round is titled The Final Revelation and is a speed round with tough questions, so the two teams that make it that far get to do a quick backstage Bible study before they take on the speed round. Plus, there's an in-hour choir that sings gospel songs going into and out of commercial breaks.

For decades, the entertainment industry has tapped our nation’s No. 1 best-selling book of all time — the Bible — for its wealth of storylines and characters. From The Simpsons to The Ten Commandments, there have been countless interpretations and reinterpretations of the Bible woven into TV and film. While the Bible has had its own category on Jeopardy!, never has it been the sole focus of a game show. Gsn’s The American Bible Challenge is looking to change that, as teams of contestants compete against each other in this nine-episode series. Comedian Jeff Foxworthy is producing and hosting the [...]...
