It is so on! The Miz and Maryse are placing bets! On this week's episode of Total Divas, Maryse is frustrated with her hubby's meat-eating habits and decides to place a bet to see if he will change. The stakes are high! On a trip to a farm, Maryse challenges The Miz to come face to face with the animals he eats. "Lets make a bet where you don't eat meat for a week. Where you become vegetarian for a week. Hear me out!" Maryse tells her less than amused husband. "No meat. Then, in a week, I'll eat whatever you want me to eat," Maryse shares. But the deal sounds a little too good to be true to The Miz. "I know you! You'll...

Eminem‘s daughter Hailie Jade Scott has served as the rapper’s muse throughout much of his career, lighting the inner fire that elevated him from a dishwasher on the outskirts of Detroit to one of the biggest musical forces of a generation. More than just motivation, his daughter has provided lyrical inspiration, and even a guest verse or two over the years. Though relations have occasionally been strained between Eminem and Hailie’s mother, Kim Scott—as evidenced in a number of his songs—his bond with Hailie has never wavered.

Eminem‘s latest album Revival was released on Friday, and in it the iconic rapper tackles a variety of tough subjects including politics, heartbreak and his struggle with fame.
They’re topics he’s explored since he first exploded onto the music scene in the late ’90s—the unsettled, manic lyrics mirroring his tumultuous personal life with his on-again-off-again wife, Kim, drug abuse that brought him to the brink of death, and challenges balancing his public persona with his private life as a father.
But the rapper produces perhaps his most emotional work yet when singing about his family. Giving listeners an honest,...

Joe Biden is sending "hope" to the McCain family.
The former vice president was a guest on The View on Wednesday, where he consoled Meghan McCain about her father, Sen. John McCain, who was diagnosed with glioblastoma, an aggressive form of brain cancer, earlier this year.
Biden is all too familiar with this form of cancer, as it's the same diagnosis his late son, Beau, received.
"I think about Beau almost every day," McCain said, tearing up. "I was told that this doesn't get easier. But you cultivate the tools to work with this and live with this. I know you and your family have been through tragedy that I couldn't perceive of. What would you tell people ... it's not about me, it's about everyone... "
Biden then got up from his seat, walked over to McCain and comforted her by holding her hand.

Though serialized overall, “The Crown” is a notable Netflix series in that it regularly delivers impeccably strong episodic arcs. Episodes stand out on their own and often feel constructed as a time capsule for that specific story. Season 2 continues this tradition, and IndieWire will explore select episodes via individual reviews. After all, the best standalone episodes deserve standalone analyses. Below, we take a look at Episode 2, “A Company of Men.”
[Editor’s Note: The following review contains spoilers for “The Crown” Season 2.]
Just because a character is unlikable — or downright repugnant — doesn’t mean he’s a bad character. The soon-to-be Prince Philip, after the third episode of Season 2, is the epitome of this conundrum. Many viewers complained about Matt Smith’s character in the first season, though few were mad enough to fault the actor’s performance (and they shouldn’t, given how wholly Smith gives himself to the role). They just didn’t like him, especially compared to the vastly...

The 21-year-old gunman behind Thursday’s fatal high school shooting in New Mexico was known to the Federal Bureau of Investigation and infiltrated the school building that morning by disguising himself as a student, according to investigators.
Once inside Aztec High School, William Atchison killed two students as part of a broader plan that was outlined for police in documents he had uploaded to a thumb drive recovered from his clothing.

It’s been a tough few years for Don May, Jr. and Jerry Chandler of Synapse Films, as they have worked tirelessly on the much-needed 4K restoration of Dario Argento’s Suspiria. The proverbial light is officially at the end of that tumultuous tunnel, though, as the Suspiria Blu-ray is set to be released on December 19th, and the film enjoyed a wonderful resurgence over the last few months, thanks to various theatrical and festival screenings of their efforts (which you can read my thoughts on Here).

The geek world imploded a few weeks back when it was reported that Disney is working on purchasing the bulk of 20th Century Fox. Shortly after this report came out, though, we were told that the whole thing might already be dead in the water, as talks between the two companies had apparently cooled.
Now, however, we’ve learned that we should ignore that second report as the notion has allegedly not yet been thrown out. According to Deadline, the two parties are still very much in discussions and Disney is apparently “progressing speedily toward” the acquisition. As we heard before, the plan is still for Fox to keep their sports and news properties, while the House of Mouse takes everything else in terms of film and TV.

Three networks suspended journalist and TV host Charlie Rose Monday, after eight women accused him of sexual harassment and unwanted advances in a report by The Washington Post. Three women spoke on the record, while five were anonymous. Rose released a statement apologizing for his behavior, but also maintained that some of the allegations were inaccurate. On Tuesday, CBS This Morning's Gayle King and Norah O'Donnell publicly distanced themselves from the 75-year-old journalist. "Gayle, I know you and I have talked a lot about this, and it takes a lot of courage for these women to come forward, and I think that they should continue to do so. I also want to say that this is a moment that demands a frank and honest...

Tyrese Gibson will get to see his daughter again.
The Fast & Furious star was awarded joint custody of his 10-year-old daughter, Shayla, on Friday, while a Los Angeles County judge denied ex-wife Norma Gibson's domestic violence restraining order request, according to court documents obtained by Et.
According to the ruling, neither party will be allowed to use corporal punishment with Shayla, and Tyrese must enroll in parenting classes on discipline.
After the ruling, the 38-year-old actor took to Instagram to express his relief.
"Today is not a win for me, it is a win for our daughter, Shayla. Who unfortunately has been exposed to tension, private and public embarrassment and growing up and feeling torn between 2 parents who are no longer married," he wrote. Lena Dunham faced heavy criticism on Twitter Friday night after she came to the defense of Girls writer Murray Miller, whom actress Aurora Perrineau alleged sexually assaulted her in 2012 when she was only 17.
The Girls creator and star had released a statement earlier in the evening alongside series co-creator Jenni Konner, in which they voiced their support for Miller and insinuated that Perrineau “misreported” the rape.

Desi Williams might be one of the sincerest people to play Survivor.
The Virginia native was voted out on Wednesday's episode of Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers after a tie and a missing vote -- but has no regrets about not voting for Joe.
"We got to the point in the game where Joe was the only one left in the game who I felt like I could trust," Desi told Et over the phone on Thursday. "At that point in time, Joe was the only person who wasn't lying to me. So I was having this really hard dilemma about whether I vote out the one person I trust in this game... It was refreshing that, having got lost myself on the way to the interview venue in the depths of London, Moffat himself managed to as well. Apologetic for arriving ten minutes late for our chat, he insisted on adding those minutes to the end of our time, and that’s not something that happens very often with interviews.

If you’ve seen Thor: Ragnarok, you know by now that this movie is hilarious and easily one of the most entertaining films in Marvel's Cinematic Universe. Most of the credit goes to director Taika Waititi who injected the film with a ton of comedy and helped Chris Hemsworth reinvent the iconic character of Thor.
During an appearance on Josh Horowitz’s Happy Sad Confused podcast, Waititi revealed that during his pitch to Marvel, he used some footage from a few John Hughes movies and he initially planned an elaborate 1980s flashback sequence:
“Well I wanted this little thing, and maybe if we ever do a Thor 4 we can have it, but I wanted to do some flashbacks where Thor was a kid, a fat little kid. There was like an 80s version of Asgard where everyone had massive shoulder pads, and everyone had mullets (laughs). Our idea was Thor...

I like to think I know my audience here pretty well.
You like Star Wars. You like superheroes. You like horror. And obviously, above all else, you love crappy, soft porn bondage movies targeted at horny housewives, right? Though the full trailer is expected to land on Monday, this teaser gives us more than enough to go on when it comes to the final instalment in the Fifty Shades franchise. For example,...
