Finally an episode that felt like it had some HBO gusto to it, to use a poor choice of words. We had the comedic moments and the hooker moment early on, but then we had a gang kidnapping and extortion and a situation at the home. This is the kind of element these dark "comedies" usually give us, but Bookie had been missing.
I feel like the show needs another strong supporting character who is not consistently in their orbit. Making Rob Corddry's persona a permanent star would be the right move. But it is still an easy watch and a show that I will be really hoping we get a second season of on MAX.
