Marx killing Castro
coflaky27 December 2020
Warning: Spoilers
This is an interesting episode. The perp is an absolutely despicable guy who leaves an innocent man to die in a metal box. Patrick is very brutal and direct. He's really a different Patrick compared to the previous episodes. I can easily say that this episode is one of the bests of this season and even overall. It might be a worthy selection to watch if you ever want to taste the show one more time.

Happy Anniversary
claudio_carvalho13 January 2022
On the day of the anniversary of the death of his family, Patrick Jane finds a note on his windshield saying Happy Anniversary. He goes to the cemetery where a little girl gives a message from Red John to him. Patrick drinks a lot, burns Red John files, and tells Lisbon and Wainwright that he has given up of hunting down Red John. Then, Patrick and the agents investigate the body of a missing man, Antonio Castro, who is found decomposed in a coffin eleven months later. The agents investigate his life and learn that he worked for Dennis Victor, who owns an investment company, and Antonio was engaged to his niece Marcy Victor. She was having an affair with Antonio's supervisor Ian Breitler that found that Antonio had embezzled a large amount from the company. His co-worker Benjamin Marx and Dennis Victor become person of interest and Patrick plots a violent trap to catch the killer.

"Red Rover, Red Rover" is an episode of "The Mentalist" where the breaking point of Patrick Jane is reached by Red John. His attitude to get the confession of the killer is totally orthodox and different from his modus operandi and the conclusion is a great surprise. Looking forward to seeing the sequel of this episode. My vote is eight.
