Warning: Spoilers
Episodes of this series often begin by recapping the events from the previous episode, as if viewers can't remember what just happened. Now it's clear why the writers did that. The writers can't remember what happened in the last episode.

In Homecoming, the last episode, Hal returned to Earth. He made it in time for a dinner date with Carol. Earlier, when he returned to Earth through the portal, Carol explained that she understood his work as GL and was OK with him rushing away to do GL stuff.

She understood, and he made a date even though he had to do GL stuff.

This episode begins with Hal arriving on Earth. When Carol sees him, they both act as if he just returned out of the blue. Carol says she didn't know if he was alive. Wait. She didn't see him when she became a starfire (whatever the pinks are.) She didn't see him when he returned through the portal? She didn't see him during the date that was shown at the end of the last episode? It's as if the writers didn't know what happened during other episodes or even at the end of the last episode.

Hal saw the Guardians at the end of the last episode. They didn't mention they had replaced him as GL in his sector. Huh? What? Who knows? Maybe the episodes were made out of order. Maybe different writers worked on different episodes, and they didn't have access to the scripts of earlier episodes.

But it's sloppy, it's confusing, and it's not good.
