A mix up occurs when 2 girls are involved in a terrible accident. Through no fault of their own, the medical examiners mixed up the girl who is dead with the girl who was left critically injured. Naturally, we hear lawsuits being discussed by the parents of both the victims.
Even though the driver had a lot of liquor in her, it is soon determined that both girls had been shot. After this has been determined, we're getting sympathy for the dead girl despite the fact that she had lots of alcohol in her. Even though she didn't die from alcohol, this is a serious subject which should have been dealt with.
As if this isn't enough, Dr. Hunt's daughter collapses and is diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. That in itself could have been a show except for the fact that the program concentrates on criminal cases.
Wendell shows that he has positive ethics. He becomes the fall guy and is replaced as head of the unit by none other than his predecessor.
