BY FAR the best lego game!!!
domtaylor7 July 2012
OK,so, to start with(before I got this video game) I didn't expect much from it. Even when I watched the first mission online I thought it wouldn't be brilliant. The only reason I bought this was because it was a lego game and I enjoyed the previous lego games and the first lego batman game. Then I played it. Lets just say I couldn't turn it off. The dialogue in this game makes the game a more enjoyable lego game and the story is amazing. For me,this has the best character range in any lego game. Even when you finish the fantastic story missions you still have tons of fun! Yes, so you can't miss this game Because even if you even didn't like any other lego game you'll like this one.

LEGO Batman 2: The Most Nostalgic Game Ever
Morshu10124 February 2023
I got to say, I'm a bit surprised to find my self talking about this game 10 years later, but it's just that good. I remember watching the movie "LEGO Batman the Movie: DC Super Heroes Unite" on DVD before playing it. Fun fact, the movie was going to be released on its own, but TT decided to make the game to go along with it instead, which explains why the cutscenes in the game can feel disjointed at points. Speaking of cutscenes, the voice acting in the game is very good. Troy Baker is probably my second favorite voice actor (Kevin Conroy is my favorite, peace to him) and Chris Smith does a good voice for the Joker. They also brought Clancy Brown in to voice Lex Luthor, which is another fantastic choice. As for the missions though, they are good. Every level that takes place in Gotham is either a 10/10 or an 8/10, but the Lexcorp ones have a bit to be desired. They don't have nearly as much detail and just feel like your typical sci-fi laboratories. However, Gotham City rocks. The open world is huge and has a lot to do in it. The character roster is pretty small, but it's still really nice to play as the Justice League for once. Overall, this game is nostalgic as heck with memorable missions and a funny story.

9/10, I love this game.

Best lego game yet!!!!!

Warning: Spoilers
Lego batman 2.I have to admit, this wasn't a game i was looking forward to.Thats because i believed that the lego series didn't have anything else to give. But with this game TT games make some drastic changes that made me see the lego franchise differently. These changes include talking lego characters(great),open world environment and a pretty cool story. The story of the game is quite simple, two of the most iconic bad guys(the JOCKER and LEX LUTHOR) team up to bring destruction to gotham city.If you played any of the previous lego games you should know what to expect from the gameplay. You destroy all the lego bricks and collect coins which will lead you to some story surprises. The number of characters in this game is sky high.We re talking 200 characters that all the fans know and love. All the levels require a cooperation between the characters you are controlling. In the main story of the game you will play Batman,Robin and Superman for the most of the game and only in the final levels you will get to play as some of the Justice league heroes(thats a bit of a shame).I actually didn't care so much about that because of talking lego characters whick is hilarious, and it adds so much depth to the story. But the biggest change is the open world environment. You can actually fly, run, fight, solve puzzles and collect coins through the entire Gotham city. The main story took me about 9 hours to complete which is very good considering its a lego game. Now,if you actually try to solve every puzzle or collecting every coin,it should take you more than 20 hours. The one think i didn't like were the graphics.Since the first lego game the graphics haven't evolved and thats a shame because the environments could look so much more lifelike and dynamic. This is a great lego game with a much better story and evolved gameplay than its predecessor. If you are a lego fan or a batman fan you should buy this game ASAP.Nuff said.

LEGO Batman 2: LEGO Meets Gaming
matthewlovell10138 July 2012
Okay, I have to admit, I really did not want to buy this game for my PS3 a few months ago. Hearing that it was the first LEGO game since LEGO Island 2 that featured a full voice-acting cast, my expectations were very downed. Also, LEGO making an Open World? LEGO Harry Potter: Years 5-7 had an Open Hogwarts/London, which was not the best either. When I picked up this game, I couldn't help but notice that the Justice League was on the cover. From the trailers and everything, I had expected this just to be a Batman, Superman, Robin, and Wonder Woman game, but I was shocked to see that it actually had the Flash, Green Lantern, Cyborg, and AquaMan. The graphics are absolutely phenomenal for a LEGO game; never before have I seen such perfect little details! The capes of our heroes actually look as though they're made of fabric, metal statues actually shine and glint, extremely realistic buildings, and much, much more. And the Open World: Breathtaking! Gotham City is 500 square miles, which is completely enormous compared to the tight, cramped space of the Batcave in the first game. With characters to unlock, bricks to collect, and citizens to save, the Open World has been keeping me busy for a long time, and I think that I'll be working on it for a lot longer. And finally, the Story and Voice Acting. The story is an improvement over the first game; with dialog and news stories to catch you up, the game is easier to follow and is a lot more humorous. Joker is surprisingly hilarious, Batman and Superman have a pretty comical relationship going on, and finally, Robin is no longer the laughing stock of the game! Altogether, I have to say that I absolutely love this game. From the amazing way that Superman flies around Gotham City to stopping Joker and Lex Luthor, I must say that this is the best LEGO game ever assembled.

Lego batman 2 dc superheroes
jackstonestone9 March 2022
Warning: Spoilers
So lego batman 2 DC superheroes is a video game on many different devices that features DC superheroes turned into lego and first it starts out with two main good guys of batman and room in saving the day from joker and other various super villains at a ceremony but then the joker teams up with Lexus Luther and he has built a device that can destroy all shiny black objects and they prepare a super big plan for Lexmark to become president and for joker to become vice president and along the way the superheroes begin the increases a bit with superman helping batman and Robin and then at the very end the justice League comes in to help save the day at a moment of desperation and let and the joker get apprehended by the police and the day is saved once again. HOWEVER, today I wanted to do an honest review of this game and that's about it so here we go, so first of all I absolutely love the story and plot of the game and how it feels like a batman kind of story where batman and Robin show up first to foil jokers mischief along with other various iconic super villains from the batman universe and then superman joins in later on and then the whole justice League But the good part is that batman is the main focus of this game and while there are other characters and just in general other things to pay attention to batman is still the main focus. I also love all of the characters personalities and how they all not only feel family friendly because it's a lego game but they still retains their good character traits like for example showing superman being a very nice and lovable guy while also demonstrating that he is INCREDIBLY useful in almost every situation but also there are times where superman can be weakens or even defeated at times. Also i love the gigantic joker robot that both Lex and the joker create together but they also build it with both of their various gadgets built into like joker gas and the device that Lexus made to deconstruct any shiny black object. I also love how this game even has a bunch of cinematic cutscenes to better explain the story but it also sparked the inspiration for a full length movie on DVD that I actually own as a Matter of fact. I also really do enjoy a huge selection of characters in the open world part of the game alongside a HUGE hub world to explore with many various batman related locations like Archambault asylum, a carnival slash fun house place, Gotham city and metropolis. I also love how batman Is still the genius of the group because In one part of the game has the joker robot weakening superman and then straight up killing batman but joker and Lex also explain their plan to both of them before they die but it turns out that this was all a part of batman's plan because they actually just switched costumes and acted as if they were losing but now they knew what their plan was and that was not only tragic to see them both die but then the reveal at the end actually had my jaw drop. Also the puzzle mechanics in this game and the problem solving is not only fun during gameplay but it's also very satisfying to do. Also the world that you explore in the story mode has SO MANY other things that you can do like collect red bricks that you can then buy with studs with special island extras like invincible and regenerating hearts for example or find hidden mystery mini kits hidden throughout each level and if you collect all 10 in one level then you will unlock a special vehicle. Also there are three different variations of vehicles involving aquatic, air, and regular vehicles alike and it's great to hear three variations for more diverse gameplay in the hub world and you can also participate in racing competitions that are time trials that you can do to unlock prizes. And speaking of which there are a lot of achievements to beat in this game making it so that there is even more to complete when you don't even expect it. Also the boss fights in this game can be easy or pretty difficult to deal with which adds a fair balance for difficulty over time so that it's not just too easy or way too difficult. Also I LOVE the voice acting in this game like it just puts a huge smile on my face whenever I hear these characters classic voices but also at the same time seeing all of these DC characters in their classic forms and outfits. Also the climax of the game at the very VERY end with the actual final boss is Lex Luthor's warship as a references from the original comic books and you also get help from the justice Kea guess and Martian manhunter error from the watchtower in space that you can legit fire the full power of the sun from a laser beam from the watchtower at lex's warship to defeat him. You also get to fight the joker several times and he is a really fun boss fight but you fight him all in different locations like in a sky fight where you're on a destroyed joker robot falling out of the sky and the Justice League helps you out while you fight the joker in a mid air battle which was a REALLY COOL boss fight to do. Also you can even unlock exclusive DLC with brand new characters with brand new abilities and originate from the comic books as classic DC characters like Shazam or black manta for example. So I'm conclusion, this game is absolutely wonderful and has been such a classic ever since the first day i played it and was a wonderful part of my childhood and it will always hold a very special place in a lot of people's hearts including mine.

Disappointed but it's ok
axelelwood11 May 2019
The really first one had an interesting set of game levels where the first four eas for Batman and Robin (4x6) with really hard but mostly fun boss battles that made them stand out from each other and don't forget that you could play as the villains and do bad things, oh man that was the dream, I was robbing a bank and stuff.

And then this came out and I was like, oh another great Lego Game with the whole DC Universe, but then I completed the story and I was like is this all? 15 small missions with only Batman and Robin?

And how you unlock all these cool villains is super weird, you find a random map sign and look for them, you find them, you defeat them, you buy them, you got them?!?

So boring...
