I always love a good parody when done right and yes I also liked the Harry Potter series. This amateur web series, I feel is one of the better parodies I've seen in a long time which unfortunately have been few far between.

As usual with these amateur web series, it was done on a low budget but it was used well and really looks on par, as if this could be an actually TV series. The effects are pretty good, I mainly like the makeup work of Voltimort which I felt was on par, even liked the guy who performed as Voltimort his impersonation was spot on. But to me what really powered this series was it's script and it's cast.

What's interesting about this parody is that it actually stands on it's own which to me is what a good parody should do, not just be a topical joke but to have a story that flows. And basically what they did was they made it into almost a soap opera, which really works and makes it all the more funny. The story does have those elements and clichés you would see in a soap, some character sleeping with another, one twist after another in plot, melodramatic dilemmas, you name it it's there. The dialog I think is really funny and at time hilarious because most of what they say you wouldn't expect from any of the characters in the book series. As well as doing things you wouldn't think they would do, like Draco(or should I say Draca) kissing Harry (I'm not kidding but it's not in the way you think) which was both strange and kinda interesting at the same time. But my favorite moment was seeing both Ron and Hermime getting stoned

The cast I felt all did well, they I felt didn't just imitate the character but actually made them their own. They all used British accents which I felt were on par, almost made me believe they were British actors when in reality their all American. It's just really funny seeing these characters not just both act contrary to themselves but at the same time function as actually characters to the point you almost care about them.

I really like how Ron is handled whom is a character I really hate in the series. Here he's not a unlikeable dirt bag, his character is almost similar to Curtis from the TV show "Todd and the Book of Pure Evil" (heck the actor even looks like him) he's not too bright, a stoner, but is lovable and actually useful in some points.

Harry was also great, I like how as usual he is the underdog but in more way than one this time.

However the three characters I really like were, Draco/Draca, Ginny, and Hermime. All three I felt were almost show steelers.

The part of Draco was a real challenge because the person playing her was a girl (yeah not kidding) which was a daft idea but it actually worked great I really bought this was Draco or should I say Draca whom is reformed but still clever.

Ginny is still sweet, wise, supportive, but I don't know a light way to put this, horny like the devil, wants to have Harry's children bad. On a side not the actress is hot.

But of course my favorite and my favorite character in the series is Hermone. The actress isn't just hot but literally looks like she could be an older sister to Emma Watson. Anyway, her character I find dryly hilarious, she's trying to be the opposite of what she's use to control and doing the right thing to screwing up on purpose just to get a feel for it as well as become experimentally lustful. There's always something about innocent character becoming not so innocent that at times seems to be a bit of a turn on for me, probably because there's that part of that person that has been hidden surfacing out and make the person seem more interesting persona wise.

Overall, Harry and the ten years has enough magic to keep you laughing and entertained.
