Ok Go and the Go-Go's partnered on the latest installment of Jimmy Kimmel Live's "Mash Up Mondays" for an energetic performance that mixed the former's "Here It Goes Again" with the latter's "Our Lips Are Sealed."
The so-called "Ok Go-Go's" began their mash-up alternating between the verses of the two songs, but slowly brought the power pop anthems together. By the bridge, Ok Go's Damian Kulash and Go-Go's singer Jane Wielding were singing interweaving vocal lines from their respective songs before the whole outfit came together for a final,...

Ty Burrell isn’t quite ready for a world full of autonomous robots.
In an exclusive sneak peek at this week’s Years of Living Dangerously, the Modern Family star faces his fear of ‘bots while test-riding a driver-less car.
“After seeing those futuristic self-driving cars I really want to try one out,” says Burrell, 49, in the clip. “But I have to admit: I’m terrified of robots.”
The admitted robot-phobe then gets into a Delphi self-driving car with two engineers from the company. To make sure the ride is safe, an engineer named Matt also joins Burrell to assist...

Mubi is proud to present the first-ever online retrospective of renowned Filipino auteur Lav Diaz. To give audiences the proper time to spend immersed in Diaz’s cinema, Mubi will debut one film each month during the retrospective.Illustration by Leah BravoFilmmaker Lavrente Indico Diaz, named after Soviet statesman Lavrentiy Beria (1899-1953), was born on December 30th 1958 in the municipality of Datu Paglas, province of Maguindanao, Mindanao Island, Southern Philippines. The son of a fervently Catholic woman from the Visayas (Central Philippines) and a Socialist intellectual from Ilocos (Northern Philippines) who, firmly believing that education is the key to improve Man's condition, devoted their lives to schooling peasants in the poorest, remotest Maguindanao villages, Diaz has always had an utilitarian conception of culture and, by extension, of all forms of artistic expression. To Diaz, art should not be an end to itself, a purely formalist exercise, but—to paraphrase a...

Most fans of the original Extreme Championship Wrestling agree that matches between Taz and Sabu on pay-per-view failed to live up to the hype. Ironically, the pair would have some decent bouts on television, but those were mainly tag-team scraps featuring others. At both the Barely Legal 1997 and Living Dangerously 1999 pay-per-view events, many fans were left disappointed by the disjointed action served up by both men.
It was baffling to most why Taz and Sabu didn’t gel despite their lengthy rivalry. With others, such as Shane Douglas and Rob Van Dam, both guys had excellent matches. Indeed, one such bout between Taz and Douglas from Guilty As Charged 1999 should be considered under-rated. That’s exactly what is analysed and assessed here, 10 different Ecw pay-per-view matches that aren’t often given the credit they deserve.
It’s important to note that all 10 of these bouts come from the original incarnation of Ecw,...

After winning a special prize from the International Federation of Film Critics at the Cannes Film Festival, Lisandro Alonso's "Jauja" is finally making its way stateside. Starring Viggo Mortensen, the existential film chronicles a father's search for his missing daughter. For those familiar with Alonso's filmography, it should come as no surprise that the director's latest is reportedly spare with dialogue and heavy on imagery. "Jauja" opens in New York on March 20, and will play at IFC Center and the Film Society of Lincoln Center. Check out the exclusive poster below: Read More: Viggo Mortensen on Learning From David Cronenberg and Living Dangerously...

In an event to promote their upcoming film Blackhat, Universal collaborated with Google’s Chrome Security Engineering Manager, Parisa Tabriz, to bring all of San Francisco’s top hackers (all the big names working in computer security) together for an early screening of the film and a question and answer session with director Michael Mann (Heat, Public Enemies, The Last of the Mohicans). After the screening, the audience was surprised when not only Michael Mann showed up, but all three stars of the film as well, including Chris Hemsworth (Thor, The Avengers, Rush)! Thanks to a special invite, I was able to attend on behalf of Cinelinx and record the Q and A for our readers to enjoy!
Just so you’re aware, there are a couple minor spoilers here, but nothing that will make a big difference to seeing the movie.

After about a month of taking in what the WWE Network has to offer I thought we could take a look at some of the things that are worth your time on there, and even just to pick up on DVD. Every PPV event from WWE(F), WCW and Ecw is included on the on-demand section of the network, which means there is hundreds of shows and thousands of hours worth of wrestling to dig through, so I wanted to whittle it down to ten shows that I feel are worth watching, and the reasons will be highlighted too.
Let’s begin with an obvious one shall we?
WWE: WrestleMania 1
Held in Madison Square Garden in New York City, the very first WWF pay-per-view ever presented and a show that lit the fuse on the rocket that became sports entertainment and the concept of pay-per-view. The show isn’t...

From reissued, obscure first films to misleading marketing, here are 12 film covers that exaggerate the role their famous actors play...
Filmmaker William Castle was famous for his movie gimmicks, from vibrating chairs to plastic skeletons soaring over the heads of audiences in cinemas. The marketers of 1958's The Fly, meanwhile, promised to pay $100 to the first person who could prove that its matter-transportation plot "couldn't happen".
Selling movies to cynical punters is tough at the best of times, and using tricks and white lies to get people to part with their hard-earned cash is nothing new. And one of the simplest tricks in a film marketer's tool bag is to exaggerate an actor's role in whatever it is they're trying to sell. So if uncredited bit player number two suddenly becomes an A-list star three years after a movie's shot, you can be...

Chicago – It’s kind of a light week at the Blu-ray and DVD store (do they still have those now that Blockbuster has closed?). As studios prep a lot of major releases for holiday season, a few titles have been released on Blu-ray, DVD, and streaming services this week that we wanted to highlight, including a decent animated flick, a great foreign one, and a bunch of movies that may interest you but that you should probably avoid.
The Attack

“The Attack”
The best new release of the week is this moving foreign film about a man shattered by the realization that his wife may not be who he’s always thought she was. The revelation brings to the surface the man’s own history and the piece becomes a moving meditation on the crisis in the Middle East and how the past and hidden conflicts are always there,...

2013 movie 2 Guns brings us more action from Denzel Washington (Flight) and Mark Wahlberg (Pain & Gain).
The two must go on the run and work together to survive after a drug cartel takedown goes bad. The twist is, they’re both federal agents who were trying to stop the cartel, but neither knows that.
Based on the graphic novel by Steven Grant, 2 Guns also stars Paula Patton (Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol), Bill Paxton (Hatfields & McCoys), Fred Ward (30 Minutes or Less), James Marsden (Robot & Frank) and Edward James Olmos (Alambrista). The film was directed Baltasar Kormakur, the helmer of Wahlberg’s Contraband, on a screenplay by first-time feature writer Blake Masters (TV’s Law & Order: La).
R-rated 2 Guns got decent reviews from critics and moviegoers, 63% and 74% approval, respectively, according to Rotten Tomatoes. As critic Richard Roeper puts it,...
