This entry in the Captain Grogg series is surprisingly low on gags. Over half of the short is dedicated to the Captain and his boy going for a swim, and some apes deciding to steal their clothes. And while all of these shorts tend to elaborate bit too much on very simple plots, they usually have gags (like running around, slipping, being chased), but this one has almost none.
The highlight is Groggs foul language when he discovers his clothes has been stolen by the apes. It's shown wit a speech bubble with bombs and explosions in it, and with a man being hung.
I do not think I have mentioned in any of my reviews the motion lines Bergdahl uses, and I do not know if it was common at the time, but it is a neat effect to show things flying through the air and similar. One obviously taken from comics, but that translates well to animation.
