Visiting his beaver friends, Yakari finds the playful youngster Lindel inconsolable since he was told leaves day each year. The only effective consolation is riding on unamused Little Thunder's back, but that keeps ending in a tearful meeting with more leaf-losing trees. Suddenly, the sight of a monstrous giant snake-shape in the lake distracts the youngsters completely.—KGF Vissers
