Modern Family Schooled

Warning: Spoilers
The whole family all come together for dinner as they celebrate Haley going college and Lily having a birthday. Also we learn Jay and Gloria are going to parenting classes. When Haley is leaving everyone seems to be sad even Luke wearing a mask to hide his tears. When the guys bring Lily to her first day her hair gets pulled so Cameron pulls the kid and gets made at him. It turns out that the parents of the other child are lesbians which is not good when they come in contact with the gay men. During the parenting class Gloria and Jay seem to be causing some trouble. Phil's college plan is in full force. The play date is happening and they don't have much to do. Claire and Phil continue to make it hard for Haley as they grad buts and drop condoms. It turns out that Lily and Conor love each other as they do not want their parents fighting anymore. When Gloria/Jay get home they learn Manny is scared as he is worried the new baby will not be smart. It seems that Haley is sort of lonely at college as she rings her parents and they sort of cry. Nice episode with the Pregnany storyline shortest is still the best with the lesbian one the weakest.

EPISODE GRADE: B (MVP: Ty Burrell)

Warning: Spoilers
For some parents, a child's departure for college can be not only dramatic, but pivotal in the life of the family. That is the case as Phil and Claire prepare for the momentous occasion of their oldest daughter's leaving the life, as she knew it, for the unknown.

Jay and Gloria, who are expecting a baby, are perplexed when Manny talks them into a class for new parents. They feel as though they do not need, as both have experience in that department. They prove to be an irritating factor for the class they enroll,

At Mitch and Cam's place, they are all excited as they get Lily for the start of kindergarten. They are not prepared to witness a little boy hitting their girl. As it happens, the boy is the son of lesbians. A feud ensues, so they are ask to make peace and bring their kids to like one another.

Directed by Jeff Melman with a screenplay by Steve Levtan, the creator of the series, and Dan O'Shannon, a frequent collaborator of the program. The whole cast gets to do their best as an ensemble. The best aspect of the episode is the interaction of the Dunphys, as they separate themselves from Haley.
