Excellent Rep and Really Wild Rides

I'm enjoying finding out the story of "Mary Collins," matriarch of the Walker Family.

There is a wild, twisty-ness to Independence as a series. Yet it's never done in a totally unbelievable fashion that I'm not happy to follow along.

I'm fascinated by the characters and want to know more, not just about Abigail, but every single person. (Whom I'm assuming have ties to the other families in the modern Walker's time.)

My family and I are fully and completely engaged.

---

We knew from press that Kate was a marginalized character and so it was no shock (but rather an affirmation) seeing it on the screen.

Now it's to see if she also ends up reciprocating other love interests, too.

Besides Kate, it's good to see the show give voice to Calian's story, full force. Good to have Augustus' character come more into focus as the story works through.

---

Love the work the actors did.

Especially loved the camera work and lighting.

My only imperfection is that there was a lot of exposition in the dialogue in those meetings.

It's worrisome to me as a viewer, wondering if they did that knowing their time on screen might be shorter than previously thought.
