15 eps in imho this was the best ep of the run thus far. Brody, somewhat like riley himself, is stealing the show, in a good way. I remember so well the presser and drama that surrounded riley's ascension and the downfall of westhead, which ironically was somewhat shakespearean. So, as a laker fan of 40 years or so, this was my fave season/championship of all in 82 (it is not a spoiler, it is history). I love love norm nixon and this was his best year. I also really like ow almost in the background, at the same time riley is exerting his pwer, as is magic, Jeannie buss is as well; just not as obviously. Of all the great acting in this series, the actor portraying jeannnie buss has most impressed me. I cannot wait for more. I so hope this goes beyond 2 seasons. Hell you could have a season per season.

"The Hamburger Hamlet" episode 5 from season 2 of "HBO's" "Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty" was once again another thrilling and drama filled episode of the series that had tense moments and interesting scenes. Here still in the 1981-82 season superstar player "Magic Johnson" is still unhappy with his role in the team current system and he can't get along with head coach Paul Westhead(Jason Segel). So after a meeting in private with team owner Jerry Buss(the good John C. Reilly) when he expresses his way or the highway as one has to go, as Buss must pick one the coach or the player, Buss choses the son Magic over the brother Paul, and Westhead is fired as head coach. So now with Buss being the gambler and investor business guy that he is he tries a new gimmick as he names ex Lakers great Jerry West(Jason Clarke) the new offensive coach and ex player and Westhead assistant Pat Riley(Adrien Brody) the defensive coach! However things start rocky and Riley feels the stress, yet West and then Buss let Pat spread his wings and he becomes the head man, and Riley finally gets it he takes charge with an iron fists of toughness by demanding respect, and the Lakers catch fire starting to win game after game and they run and shoot their way to the top of the West! Only sadly it's the 76ers that await in the finals not the hated Celtics! Overall well done episode of change a passing of the torch and changing of the guard as Pat Riley showed he had what it takes to get the Lakers back on the road and path to flying high with victories. Overall another good episode that sets up the next episode with anticipation.

Warning: Spoilers
Man the made magic look super childish in the scene were he the coach is liek come on get in the huddle over here he wines like he is in grade school or something reminded me of a child lol Iammmmmm overrrrr herrrre lol the first of the Whiny millionaires in the league now I see we're Lebron James gets it from.. if he ever actually watches this show he will see or probably already knows how big of a baby he was back then. He done the dumbest deal and they tried to make Jerry look bad for giving him what he wanted. Magic Johnson just another low IQ baller who thinks he is a good cause he gets paid to play with a ball. That's all this show, showed me was how big of babies they all were. Especially Magic.
