Good movie.. Do not miss
nn1086 January 2024
Watch this movie on OTT and really enjoyed it.

Climax had ample scope for improvement and could have been more gripping.

Also if you have a more closer look, you may be able to criticize the movie at various points and may also be able to find loopholes here and there

But still.. I would recommend that you watch this movie, because even with its flaws. I did feel very satisfied at the end and it did meet my expectations

Also the concept is fresh, movie is fast paced and performances are good

Also i found it nice that so many talented marathi actors were given a chance in this movie

So overall , i would suggest not to miss this movie. Keep your expectations from the movie , not very high and you would definitely enjoy it.

Garbage actress ruins another project
jitendra-mahim29 December 2023
This is actually a pretty decent offering with a strong and relevant message. However, this isnt an actual review of the movie, which is a better than average effort with pretty good performances by most of the cast. In fact all of the cast except one do justice to their roles. But my beef is with Radhika Madan who if possible is getting worse with every outing. Its shocking that this C grade actress keeps getting good projects. I m clueless why , when there so many good actresses around. Please do us all a favour and look for other means of livelihood. You are just deplorable in this, your chosen profession.

A content of message

*Sajini Shinde Ka Viral Video* Just completed watching this Film on Netflix.

The story revolves around *Sajini Shinde (Radhika Madan), a physics teacher* whose party video goes viral, causing embarrassment to her colleagues, friends and relatives.

As a teacher, Sajini was expected not to have a life beyond the classroom. And if she did, her actions would be investigate by moral policing, and she will become a victim of slut-shaming.

A life of a brilliant teacher was lost just because of a viral video where she was seen dancing and celebrating her birthday.

*Today's youth has accepted social media as their life.* Often we keep facing news like someone's video going viral or MMS getting leaked. The story of 'Sajni Shinde Ka Viral Video' also talks about a girl whose MMS has been leaked.

All Sajini needed was a support system, but unfortunately, she had no one. Coming from a reputed family, her world crashed when the video went viral. Everyone around her blamed her and questioned her integrity, and she was left to believe that she did not deserve to continue living her life.

This film reminded a similar incident of August 2022, a professor from the prestigious St. Xavier's College was forced to resign over bikini pictures that were taken from her private social media account and circulated within the student community. Instead of opening a dialogue with the students, the college decided her to moral policing.

This incident could have been an important lesson in the students' lives, but instead, what they learned was how easy it is to blame and shame women.

Sajini Shinde Ka Viral Video questions the hypocrisy of individuals who expect women to be a perfect blend of traditional and modern.

*An attempt has been made to convey a message through the film that suicide cannot be the solution to any problem, life is very beautiful.*

Kya mazak hai ye?!
bluebloodripper25 December 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Another rubbish film cooked up by a studio with good connections to make any garbage for money.

There is absolutely nothing interesting about this film. The start and setup is so thin and flimsy that you go numb watching the rest of the film. Nimrit Kaur is fine actor but all she does here try and act tough and embarrass her colleagues by her obvious deductions.

There are no emotions expressed by family or friends of Sajini, things just casually move on like nothing happened until Nimrit kaur comes and acts tough with everyone.

Don't watch it after eating or I guarantee you will throw up.

Can't believe things like this still get made.

Gripping thriller with a strong msg !!
sanjubhat27 December 2023
Film Review: Sajini Shinde ka Viral Video streaming on Netflix

The story is based on a Physics Teacher Sajini Shinde ( Radhika Madan) whose party video goes viral leading to a lot of shaming by her colleagues, friends and family. She disappears after writing a suicide note. Is Sajini really dead or hiding somewhere to escape the backlash. It is up to Inspector Bela ( Nimrat Kaur) & Chinmay Mandlekar to piece together, all the facts and get to the truth.

Direction by Milind Musale is raw and realistic to the core. Brings out the harsh truth of abuse of individuals by both the conventional media channels as well as social media.

The whole investigation by the police has been very well showcased. The suspects - the male chauvinist father ( Subodh Bhave ) , the long suffering mother , the toxic boyfriend, strict school principal ( Bhagyashree) and Sajini's rebellious brother are interrogated before bringing the case to a logical conclusion!!

All the actors, especially Nimrat Kaur, Subodh Bhave and Chinmay Mandlekar among others have done a great job. Unfortunately Radhika Madan & her boyfriend don't look or talk like maharashtrians from any angle even though they have acted very well !! If u discount this casting flaw, the film has been decently executed !!

To sum it up in one sentence - Sajini Shinde ka Viral Video is a great film that delivers a strong msg that doesn't sound too preachy !!

Watching it was a breeze and I will recommend it to everyone!!

Going with 3.5/5 for this one .. Adios 🙂!!

Horrible acting by Radhika

Gripping screenplay
abhishek-6772929 December 2023
The storyline is straightforward but the storytelling is the real winner here. Performances are top quality and the screenplay makes it look like every character is a villain from a women's perspective. The movie reaches a point where the complexity is married with many social messagings engages the audience.

The ending itself was not very surprising but in this era of loud and over the top cinema this is a breath of fresh air.

Mighty Marathi actors, Nimrat, Bhagyashree don't let you look away from the screen a lot. Background score is haunting and since it's a Netflix movie the production quality is top notch with amazing cinematography.

Worst Direction Ever
shyamal89023 December 2023
Half way into the movie. Feels like all actors were specifically instructed to do over acting.

That aside the direction is so bad that it feels like a school play. Dialogues were certainly written when the story writer was down 6 pegs.

I don't know who's the reviewer at Netflix. They still haven't cracked the formula for a good Hindi movie. Its time that Netflix does a complete overhaul of their India specific movie selection team.

Please spare us from this crap.

If you juxtapose this with 12th pass, this is not even 1% of what 12th pass achieved.

Not to mention I don't think Radhika Madan is fit for acting, must focus on something else, seriously!

Waste of Time !!
shahidshakil-5201026 December 2023
The film, while aspiring to captivate audiences with its narrative, unfortunately falls short in coherence and pacing. Spanning nearly two hours, what might have been effectively conveyed within a concise timeframe becomes an arduous experience, testing the patience of its viewers.

Regrettably, the performances by the cast do not meet the expected standards, appearing lackluster and exaggerated, ultimately contributing to an overall feeling of exaggeration throughout the production. As such, the film struggles to resonate with its audience, failing to establish a compelling rapport between viewers and the characters portrayed on screen.

Comparable, at times, to an inadequately scripted television episode, the storytelling fails to elicit an emotional investment, leaving viewers detached from the characters and their respective journeys. In light of these shortcomings, it may be prudent to allocate one's valuable time toward more rewarding cinematic endeavors, allowing this particular offering to be bypassed in favor of more enriching entertainment alternatives.

Superb acting by team
rzsngpbffm30 December 2023
Great job done by team and the actors , it's a well portrayed picture of the society with exact dialogues needed to be heard by everyone . These are kind of movie which encourage others filmmakers to write a better content.

Acting by Radhika , nimrat and subodh are par . Our very own inspector Ramchandra played a well supported Arjun role for our inspector .

Ending was unexpected which turns out to be a well defined messaged shared with society that how our self esteemed reputation take over our care towards our children's .

We need to show this movie to every parent and kids

Thank you for bringing up this topic.

Horrible
vinayak-3220127 December 2023
Horrible acting by the lead protagonist ( Sajini Shinde). Nimrat Kaur is the saving grace of this otherwise move which has too many loopholes and unnecessary characters. The depth of relationship between the protagonist and the characters are not explored. The number of subplots ruin the essence of the movie. This movie could have been made way more engaging. It is non linear, boring for the most parts. There are way better engaging movies to watch than this. If you really don't have anything else to do and want to waste your 2 hours then please go ahead and watch it, otherwise it's a skippable movie at best.

Full marks for great screenplay
agarwalakhil-8904426 December 2023
Excellent performances. Each character played the part. No nonsense, straight down to business. There is subtle but extremely effective message on subjects like pseudo feminism, gen z addiction for social media, male chauvinism, etc.

Screenplay is well knit and setting very local Marathi.

Run time is quite optimal. At less than 2 hours, it keeps you interested.

The end is rather predictable, but one dies not mind that. It was nice to see Byagyashree on screen again. Radhika Pandit had played this subdued girl to perfection. The real steal is by Nimrat Kaur and her deputy.

Don't miss this one.

If only iMDB allowed negative stars
sumiwumi29 December 2023
What an absolute stupid and cheap movie. The male characters portrayed are so dumb and mysoginistic . Like can someone show me if men talk and behave with women like this in India. What was the movie trying the show and omg the main actor is so bad. Nimrat Kaur is half decent but omg the acting is so bad. Like when the director , actors producers who were watching the movie at the editing table didn't the realise what garbage is on the screen ? Like was there anyone who saw this movie without cringing and laughing saying wtf is this? There is nothing worth saving or mentioning. Just sad state of affairs.

Bland and not worth the time
fatimahassani-7382027 December 2023
The movie does aim to bring a good social message however, it is so bland and has no proper story. The characters are not built well and you can't relate to them. The actors do fine job but it doesn't even manage to hook you and the ending is a total disappointment.

Nimrit Kaur has done a decent job and puts pressure on the characters. The movie carries a weird vibe and the way every character is behaving could be portrayed better in terms of emotiveness.

Radhika Madan has done a good job.

The story could have been way more gripping with better ending.

You can totally skip this movie! It is Not worth the time.

tarekali-199098 January 2024
A searing indictment of the harshness of social media and judgemental society. This movie is a tragedy from the opening to the closing scene, and the heart weeps for Sajini, the poor woman at the heart of the story.

Radhika Madan brilliantly plays a woman who has every door shut in her face, by her family friends and mentors and finds no open roads except one dark abyss. If there is one lesson here, even in the face of a few innocent mistakes, do not slam doors on the face of a loved one lest someone pay the ultimate price.

Nimrat Kaur is in a league of her own, a force of acting second to none, and she delivers an outstanding performance as Inspector Bela Barot, a sleuthing hound who digs up every rock seeking the truth of the great mystery in this tragedy. Ironically, she shows the most empathy for Sajini not even knowing her personally, unlike the traitors who knew her.

The plot moves fast and furious, revealing one layer of hypocrisy, fallacy and tragedy after another. It is a very satisfying and utterly saddening movie.

A good story with a strong message
Rajesh-Narayanan0124 December 2023
I did not like the police doing a morality check on each and every character. Neither did I really like the one-faced nature of most people in this movie.

But the cast did a good job in communicating the personality behind their characters very effectively. The storyline was crisp and not much time was wasted on unnecessary drama.

The end scenes could have been much more punchy but felt slightly more on the preachier/ unrealistic side. For one, I wouldn't expect criminals (hardened or accidental) to accept their guilt so easily. The police explaining how they identified the crime back to the criminal, just for dramatic effect, has to change!

The message and the intent of this movie is noteworthy. Where do we draw the lines when it comes to stereotyping respectable positions? Everyone should be allowed a chance to redeem themselves. It may play a prominent role in our lives, but an outdated "societal respect system" should not become a bar in deciding whether one lives or dies!

Good thriller movie after long
sudipta231125 December 2023
If you are a fan of Gone Girl, then this is a must watch. Sajini Shinde is physics teacher in a Pune school and a typical urban good girl. Shockingly her video is released in which she is dancing on table top in a bar. The movie opens with how this mishap occurred and then as the story progresses, we get to know various people in her life like her fiance, parents, brother, roommate , school principal, counsellor etc. Then she goes missing and leaves a suicide note naming some people responsible. Acting by the entire cast is great and so is the writing and direction. Nimrat kaur stole the show in the role of investigating officer.

Clue after clue, we discover whether she is dead or not and if someone tried to kill her or she tried suicide. Everyone is hiding something. You will definitely finish the movie in one sitting.

Sajini Shinde Ka Viral Video
sulemansaeeed18 January 2024
"Sajini Shinde Ka Viral Video"

It is a serious problem if your personal or private data or information gets leaked, and it's a greater problem if that data or information could have a serious influence out there. I think girls should be more cautious about protecting their privacy and their data and information.

This movie is about a girl who is a physics teacher and she went to Singapore with his colleagues and while drinking in a bar, someone made a video of her dancing and one of her colleagues sent that video to school mistakenly. This ultimately lead her to commit suicide. The police had doubts about her family and fiancé but ultimately it turned out to be that she did commit suicide by herself and wasn't killed.

The lesson we get from this is to protect our data and should be mindful about what's being uploaded to the internet. I read something on the internet a few years ago, Think before you click.

That's all.

Don't expect much, and you'll enjoy it
jatinpandey-693309 January 2024
A short, tightly written thriller. The director and the writer tried to touch a lot of social issues but in the end it might feel forced. The acting was brilliant from almost all the actors. While the Puneri feel of the film made it look grounded, it went too overboard in certain sections.

The characters were thin, mere caricatures but not too different from people in real life. There are moments when the characters are given some dimensions but the writing could have been better.

Overall, an enjoyable film for a weekend. Not a masterpiece, but certainly a enjoyable thriller with some heavy hitting stuff.
