  Richard Castle : Alexis, are you hung over?

  Martha Rodgers : Well, the graduation festivities got a tad out of hand, and Alexis called me from the party, I drove into town, I picked her up. So please don't get angry, darling.

  Richard Castle : Well, why didn't you call me?

  Alexis Castle : I tried. You didn't pick up.

  Richard Castle : Oh... Right. Then that's on me. That's my bad.

  [as Castle talks, Beckett sneaks out of the bedroom; reaching the front door, she realizes she forgot her bra and sneaks back to retrieve it] 

  Richard Castle : Well, Alexis, as your father, I have to say that I am... deeply disappointed in you, and yet oddly proud.

  Alexis Castle : Uh, huh.

  [groaning] 

  Alexis Castle : My head is pounding.

  Martha Rodgers : Oh, honey, I'll get you a couple of aspirin.

  [Beckett sneaks back out of the bedroom as Martha starts to turn around] 

  Richard Castle : [grabbing Martha's arm]  No, no, don't!

  Martha Rodgers : What do you mean? Why not?

  [as he continues talking, Beckett finally sneaks out of the apartment] 

  Richard Castle : It's her first *hangover*. I mean, this is a *milestone*. It's a rite of passage. Don't you want to *experience* this in its, in its fullness? Un-Untrammeled by the, the relief of over-the-counter pain relievers?

  Alexis Castle : No.

  Richard Castle : No, okay, aspirin it is, sweetheart. I'm sorry.
