Saturday Night Live Host: Christina Applegate
dalydj-918-25517514 October 2012
Warning: Spoilers
Vice Presidential Debate: Kate McKinnon plays Martha Raddatz, Tarran Killam plays Paul Ryan and Jason Sudeikis plays Joe Biden. Unlike Jim at the presidential debate Martha has a backbone and can stop the two from fighting. Jason plays the attacking Joe against the lying Paul in this sketch. I thought this was an OK opening with the impressions every realistic. B- (MVP: Jason Sudeikis)

Monologue: Applegate comes out to do her monologue. It's been almost 20 years since she hosted (Wow), then she goes into a song about no holidays at the moment. During the song the fruppets come out because of no holidays. Mid October song was fun and great to see Applegate singing again. B (MVP: Christina Applegate)

Gillette Pro-Glider: OK a small little ad about men shaving which is not really much to talk about. D (MVP: None)

The Californians: Without Wiig I don't know if it will work as well. Applegate joins the cast and goes in well as one of these over the top Californians. Bree the new wife of Armisen's character who has fraud. The wedding goes on and through in Kate as a priest and I'm enjoying it. Funny sketch always for me. B (MVP: Christina Applegate)

Tech Talk: Caitlin Owens as host talking about the I-Pod 5. Then when the people complain about the product the guests are shown the people who made the I-Pod. Funny sketch. D (MVP: Fred Armisen)

Give Us All Our Daughters Back: All action starts come to this new film including Liam Neeson (Killam), Uma Thurman (Applegate), Denzel Washington (Pharoh) and more which makes for an OK sketch. B+ (MVP: Tarran Killam)

Passion Pit - "Take a Walk": I've never heard of this band. I liked the performance but found the lead singer very distracting. B (MVP: Passion Pit)

Weekend Update: Seth starts with an update on the debate on Thursday. Arianna Huffington then come to call Seth a boy she never had. She talks about birth control and how if men could get pregnant there would be so much birth control. Next guest is top french comedian talking about Lance and the drugs he used when cycling. This character Kenan has played for some time has never really ever made me laugh. OK update but last week was much better. B (MVP: Nasim Padrad)

Odysseus And The Sirens: Doing this old time story mixing a modern song. The three girls are good singers and also mix in everyone else. When the other members on the boat hear it they think the music is too girlie. Then when they sing some more everyone gets into it. Nice sketch overall. B+ (MVP: Jason Sudeikis)

The Hell-oween Ball: Halloween party and Principal Frye comes out to make a speech fallowed by the school librarian. Principal Frye comes back out to tell us some more news. Third appearance from Principal Frye as he gets played off. Boring sketch trying to make that principal funny who has never been to me. C (MVP: Jay Pharoh)

Passion Pit - "Carried Away": Nice song. B (MVP: Passion Pit)

Jillian Chizz Dance Studio: A fossey style teacher teaching four people. She speaks in gibberish instead of numbers confusing the students who have heard all th stories about her. At the end of sketch everyone gets it and that was a great ending. C+ (MVP: Christina Applegate)

EPISODE GRADE: C+ (MVP: Christina Applegate)
