I just saw the 4K restoration of this film at the Gateway Film Center in
Columbus, Ohio. I liked it, a pleasant evening's diversion.
Basic plot: a super-computer, built to control a galaxy-traveling space station, falls in love with a beautiful green-skinned alien journalist, after she admires the beauty of the computer's jewel-like spherical form. The computer takes control of the station which promptly disappears. It reappears when the space babe goes back to her home planet. The computer tries to capture her so they will be together forever.
Ideal for children. No violence; no one is killed or even seriously injured, and only machines are destroyed. The only sex is the alien journalist's form-fitting suit. And there is a cute alien dog.
I recommend this film for sci-fi and anime fans, especially those who like cartoons. It reminds me of the Saturday-morning cartoons I used to watch years ago, in a more innocent time.
