I grew up in NYC and have come to love their fireworks shows. I was interested to see a documentary on them and to get an inside look. While it was nice to get a history lesson of the family it was lacking in depth of the business itself. I was expecting a deeper dive into the fireworks and choices made or experimentation, success or failures. There must have been be a 100 war stories they could have elaborated on but they stuck with family life and the travails of the company.
I don't know if they're piloting for a reality tv show but it felt like it was heading in that direction.
If you're casually interested in the Grucci's then you may get something out of this. This doc doesn't leave you with any great knowledge of them or the business.
