Excellent drama by Stormy
lor_14 September 2019
Stormy Daniels's skill at directing Hollywood-style genre films is evidenced in this very well written and made story of the troubles befalling innocent young hair stylist Lexi Belle.

She is saddled with a ne'er-do-well husband Kris Slater, who's been out of work for months and takes out his frustrations on his wife. Her otherwise cozy existence begins to unravel when she takes up her cute co-worker (at the salon) Alyssa Branch's offer to substitute for her on a vacation to Palms Springs.

There she is lonely, as Kris back home doesn't even bother to answer her calls, and is easily picked up at the hotel bar by smoothie and slimy Steven St. Croix. He romances the vulnerable heroine into bed, and soon after his money shot disappears.

Upon arriving home, she finds Kris in great spirits, having just landed a cushy and lucrative job at an ad agency, making her feel guilty over her holiday infidelity. St. Croix reappears and her problems escalate from there.

Stormy does a terrific job in making the viewer identify strongly with Lexi and her predicament, and uses an inventive film structure (inserting near the end a cryptic but very hot sex scene involving herself and real-life mate Brendon Miller) to lead to a shock ending. It is features like this that have led me to believe that the tabloid-scandal-ridden Stormy deserved an opportunity to direct mainstream films, but unfortunately is now faced with a career in ruins.
