Far from over
Mr-Fusion15 December 2016
These are the last two episodes of season four, and prove that the acquisition of Drew Thompson finishes nothing. If anything, things just got real. Surrendering to the Marshals wasn't enough - he demands the safe return of that other serious liability, Ellen May. And 'Peace of Mind' is almost operatic in how the various players - Raylan, Boyd, Augustine, Limehouse - jockey for position on the chessboard. What results is possibly the apex (at least a very high point) of the show's signature writing and acting. The litany of one-liners are so memorable because the players loved delivering them.

This is an exhilarating hour of TV; thoroughly gripping from start to finish.

Warning: Spoilers
The search for Ellen May was done by everyone which lead to the death finally of Colt by the gun of Tim. I have never liked the character Ellen May but with her last two appearances have been great acting scene for Abby Miller. In the end Boyd and his crew did not win as they lost Colt because Ava could not kill Ellen May which Boyd did not seem to care even though he lost a good friend. Another example of the show's writing being so good that nearly every scene of the episode worked well. Cassie hopefully made her last appearance on the show as the god believing preacher because those scenes at the church never worked. Once again I must mention Colt being killed off is good for me as I never found the character interesting and mostly he would make the show hard to watch. Winona came back to the show to tell Raylan he is having a girl just at the time he does well in his job. Another strong episode for the show and also Limehouse is used well in his short scenes. Lastly Joelle Carter as Ava has been used very well on the show from her scenes with guns up until her intimate moments with Boyd.

EPISODE GRADE: A- (MVP: Joelle Carter)
