As the result of a competition, Children's TV series Jolly Roger heads to Great Slaughter, its Editor Dinah Morgan is furious, and after an absence from the show, decides to ring the changes.
First of all, how marvellous to see the crime solving nun back on the box. I thoroughly enjoyed series one, and I have high hopes for the second.
My hopes were definitely realised here, Series two gets off to a flying start here, it's an intriguing mystery, with a good set of characters, and a good number of laughs, plenty of moments to chuckle over, the parrot in particular.
The usual bunch of crazy and eccentric locals, there's definitely something in the water at Great Slaughter.
I absolutely loved the trio of presenters, they got them absolutely spot on, check back on old clips of Blue Peter, they absolutely nailed it for the time period, they certainly all looked the part.
Great to see Abigail Thaw, I badly miss seeing her in Endeavour, nice to see her glammed up here. One problem though, where was Ruth? I hope it's not that end for Miranda Raison.
8/10.
