The new Texas Chainsaw Massacre video game from Gun Interactive was just released for PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One back on August 18th, and the developers have been keeping a steady flow of updates coming ever since. A while back, we heard a new killer character, a new victim character (with the voice and likeness of genre icon Barbara Crampton!), and a new map called The Mill (which brings to mind a location from the 2003 Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake) would be added to the game soon – and now we know exactly when The Mill will be available for players to enjoy: March 28th!
The date announcement was made on X, where it was revealed that The Mill will allow players to “scramble up multiple floors, traverse through a Ghost Town, or sneak around a dry river bed.”

Originally teased last month, horror legend Barbara Crampton (Re-Animator, You’re Next, Jakob’s Wife) is joining The Texas Chain Saw Massacre as a brand new character named Virginia, and Gun Interactive has provided much more info on the character today.
Barbara Crampton is no stranger to the world of horror video games, having recently voiced a character in Back 4 Blood. But this will be the first time Crampton has made her presence known in the Texas Chain Saw Massacre franchise, which is extremely cool for fans.
For starters, Barbara Crampton’s Virginia is a Victim character, and the character will not only feature a dead-on likeness but will also be voiced by Crampton herself!
Gun details, “Virginia is a grief-stricken mother who cannot get over the disappearance of her son Jesse. She’s obsessive over his vanishing and refuses to believe that he could be gone. The weight of...

The events of Gun’s The Texas Chain Saw Massacre video game take place before the events of Tobe Hooper’s classic horror movie, beginning with the disappearance of Maria Flores. Maria’s sister (Anna Flores) and her friends head out to Texas to investigate, and that’s essentially the storyline behind every match of The Texas Chain Saw Massacre that you play.
In celebration of the video game hitting 1.1 million units sold and 5.6 million total players, Gun Interactive has relaunched Petals today, a free-to-play online photography game.
Gun previews the experience that first launched in 2022, “Go back to where it all started and experience the story of Maria’s fateful trip with Petals, a floral photography game.
“Walk in her shoes and learn more about her disappearance.”
You can download the Free exploration sim and start playing now!
What can you expect from the game in the coming months?...

I’ve only played a few video games over the last twenty years, primarily Halo online multiplayer and the recent Friday the 13th game that was hindered by lawsuits… and gaming sure is different these days than it was in my time, when a game was released in its complete form and then you just played the hell out of it. Now, if a game doesn’t get very frequent updates, players will abandon it very quickly. For example, the new Texas Chainsaw Massacre video game from Gun Interactive and Sumo Nottingham was just released for PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One back on August 18th, and even though it was updated a new map and a couple new characters at the end of November, I’ve already seen gamers complaining that it’s getting stale and will be pronounced dead if there isn’t another update soon.

The team at Gun Interactive hopped on a live Twitch stream this afternoon to tease what’s coming to The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, including “over 150” patches and fixes that are expected somewhere in the ballpark of February 6. But that’s not all, as New Content is also coming soon, and a whole bunch of it was previewed by Gun during the stream today.
The following content will be added to the game throughout the next 90 days…
New Execution Packs with “turned up” brutality. New Weapon Skins for the family members. New Cosmetics for family & victims. New Victim. New Family Member. Museum Mode to explore the family house. *Free* “Shirtless Johnny” Outfit. *Free* “Bride Sissy” Outfit. *Free* New Map: The Mill. *Free*
You can preview brand new map “The Mill” below, which is said to be quite a bit different than the existing maps. With its vertical design, it’ll provide unique gameplay opportunities.

Helmed by Sean King O’Grady, The Mill is set in a dystopian universe, much like a lengthy Black Mirror episode but with less intrigue. Sean King’s The Mill makes sense in every way, starting from its angry commentary on worker exploitation and the overenthusiastic activity of certain workers, which always raises the bar, becoming a double-edged sword for average employees. The Mill is all about a hard-working employee, Joe, who wakes up inside a prison cell of “Mallard,” a multinational company where he has been working for several years. An emotionless AI-generated voice constantly demanding Joe push a giant grist mill is the ultimate conflict in Joe’s life. However, The Mill decides whether it is possible for the average Joe to find a way out of the prison or if he’ll have to stay in this constant loop until he breathes his last breath.

Hulu’s savage new original film The Mill offers a nightmare vision of corporate America controlled by algorithms that physically, mentally, and emotionally punish employees who don’t achieve their quotas. The movie doesn’t seem particularly far-fetched in 2023, despite its outrageous set-up, which is something that the filmmakers have acknowledged.
“When we filmed The Mill, these discussions were hypothetical. Our film unexpectedly became relevant. But it’s not just about AI or labor. Joe’s tale isn’t merely topical — it’s universal,” director Sean King O’Grady said of the movie. “It’s about feeling trapped in a system that takes more than it gives, feeling like a replaceable cog in a lifeless machine. Have you ever felt powerless or exploited in this way? Do you right now?”

In a system designed for and centered on profits over people, hard labor takes on a new meaning in Hulu’s “The Mill.” The new sci-fi thriller feature, which arrives on the platform on Sunday, Oct. 8, follows Joe, a career and family man who awakens to find himself imprisoned in a cell with only an archaic grist mill, forced to become a beast of burden and fulfill his quota or face termination. Described as “an Orwellian nightmare steeped in Kafkaesque horror, exploring themes of corporate dehumanization, AI domination, and the erosion of personal freedom,” will Joe escape the system that has imprisoned him, both literally and figuratively? You can watch The Mill with a 30-Day Free Trial of Hulu.

Review: It’s easy to set your expectations for a certain level of comedy when you see a film starring Lil Rel Howery. But that would be a mistake when it comes to The Mill as this is anything but a comedy. It’s clear Howery really wanted to make a legitimate horror film with a modern bend to it. Waking up in a mysterious mill, Joe Stevens (Lil Rel) is forced to push an old grist mill or face the consequences. The tactics of motivation are manipulative and can be pretty brutal. After starring in the comedy Vacation Friends (which I enjoyed much more than our reviewer did) and its sequel (didn’t watch that one yet) for the Hulu streaming service, Lil Rel Howery has taken the lead in another Hulu Original – but this time they switched up genres. Their new collaboration is the sci-fi horror movie The Mill, which is set to start streaming on October 9th as part of the service’s “Huluween” event. With that release date just over a week away, we’ve gotten our hands on a trailer for The Mill, and you can check it out in the embed above.
Directed by Sean King O’Grady (We Need to Do Something) from a screenplay by Jeffrey David Thomas (All American: Homecoming), The Mill sees Howery playing the role of a white-collar businessman who mysteriously wakes up in an open-air prison cell containing only an old grist mill.

"You still don't believe the rules apply to you. Perhaps you would respond to other incentives." Hulu has unveiled an official trailer for a sci-fi thriller called The Mill, directed by filmmaker Sean King O'Grady. Yet another new "Huluween" special offering coming to the streaming service in October. A businessman wakes up in an open-air prison cell with only an old grist mill. Forced to work as a beast of burden, he must find a way to escape before the birth of his child. This is so obviously a capitalism metaphor, literally making him grind away at a mill just to make enough for him to one day "be free". Lil Rel Howery stars, along with Pat Healy, Karen Obilom, and Patrick Fischler. This clearly connects back to the brilliant Spanish film The Platform, with a similar concept, both critiquing the endless mill of capitalism. Might be worth a watch.

The horror genre is built on the idea that you can take real-world issues and add a few scares to create something memorable. And that’s precisely the goal with the upcoming film, “The Mill.”
As seen in the trailer for “The Mill,” the horror film is set near the future where capitalism has run amok. It stars Lil Rel Howery as a corporate career man who works for the world’s biggest company.
