This was utterly utterly forgetable.
It washed over me on a Sunday night like background noise.
This show is in danger in my opinion. Not only has the addition of four new midwives seriously dented the status quo, but it now feels like an odd spin-off, with the older (let's be honest - far better characters) almost watching on.
The plots feel like rehashes from years gone by, the bizarre decision to keep former lead girl Trixie around seems bizarre, because they can't give her anything better to do than be in the 'comedy' B plot.
It's becoming a bit like 'Heartbeat' did in its final years. A parody of itself, with the new characters not being great and the older ones looking in from the side.
I suppose that makes Trixie the Phil Bellamy equivalent then.
