Maggie stated that 2 ounces of coke were found in the apartment, but the bag that they found clearly contained a lot more than that, possibly 8 ounces.
Maggie takes the wallet and ID from the shooting victim's pocket. Immediately after that, the police detective tells them who he is, without having seen the ID. Also, the police should and would have checked the victim's pockets earlier and would presumably not have put it back in the pocket.
Alex Lawson's rap sheet says that he was convicted of murder in the second degree in 2014 and was paroled in 2022, which is only eight years. This would not be possible (at least in real life) as in New York state murder in the second degree carries a mandatory minimum sentence of life in prison with possibility of parole after 15 years, there is no early release for good behavior for a class A-I felony. The earliest Lawson could have been paroled was 2029.
OA picks up the shell casing lying near the body. It's unlikely that the police team wouldn't have seen it. Moreover, he handled it with his leather gloves, which could smear any fingerprints. He then put it in his coat pocket, not (per procedure) in a labelled evidence bag.
When Alex Lawton's rap sheet is displayed on the screen in the JOC, it shows his birth date as Oct 24, 1987 (36 years old). Since this aired on April 25, 2023, his age should be shown as 35 years old.
