Just watched this and loved it. Its a shame this movie probably won't get a wide viewing as it was awesome. Set in Rajasthan India, Bhanwar, a simple villager, lives under the influence of his dominant uncle, Bhairo who convinces Bhanwar to sell his land and buy a bride. They are duped by a trafficker who sells them Sanwri, who is transgender/intersex. When they find out, they decide to hide Sanwri's identity to avoid societal stigma and employ her for household work. As time passes, Bhanwar starts to appreciate Sanwri and they fall in love. They realise they can have a happy life together but unfortunately his uncle Bhairo is a real piece of garbage. Beautifully filmed and acted, with a gut punch of an ending. Try to see it if you can.

This movie has left such a special imprint on my life that i find hard to even describe in words. I wonder if these actors/directos/cast etc. Are given a 100cr budget, what gem could they produce. The rural life, women's treatment at the grass root level & men's hardship to provide for the family while bearing the societal pressur - portrayed wonderfully into the film. The "Tau" character leaves his own imprint as opportunist yet gullible guy who's always against the wishes of his Daughter in law.
The day to day struggles to sustain livelihood, yet nights being meaningful embraced into a lover's arms. If this isn't a perfect life, i don't know what is.
Absolute worth watching at least once...maybe 10 time more.
