Great new show following an elite group of Air Force PJs

Warning: Spoilers
This show really hits home for anyone who knows or ha ever known a serviceman or civilian serving in the Middle East. The show follows an elite group of Air Force PJs, based on Kandahar Airfield in Afghanistan, going on rescue missions to save servicemen and civilians during wartime. The show is an emotional roller coaster...I laughed and cried multiple times during both aired episodes, so far. The stories that are shown are raw and real. The "stars" of the show do an excellent job describing the emotional toil war has on them, while still remaining the strong heroes they are. This show has made my respect for servicemen grow even more (and I have a lot of respect for them to begin with). I have met servicemen (my parents both served in the Marine Corps and Army and I worked as a contractor) and heard stories of war, but this show really brings home what goes on over there. After watching the first episode I felt emotionally drained and slightly traumatized. Then, I realized, if this is the way I feel I can only imagine how those living through this feel on a daily basis; yet, they continue to fight and even have the desire to continue doing what they do (saving lives). I am so grateful for all servicemen and would like to say a huge THANK YOU for finally allowing those of us at home witness what is so often sacrificed overseas.

No greater love

My son was with the 303rd MP Unit which was the unit hit at the combat outpost in episode 3. That was a night of heroes, both Army and Air Force. Many men and women in the 303rd owe a huge debt to to the PJ's who flew in at great personal risk. The persons hurt on the ground have for the most part recovered, but some had severe injuries that will never fully heal, and others will live with the psychological effects that follow such trauma. My wife and I will never forget the hours of waiting and wondering if our son was among the injured. And other family members had it much worse than we, as we eventually heard that our son was safe and sound. If I could think of a way to personally thank the Air Force PJ's I would. Truly they live the biblical verse "there is no greater love than this, that a man lay down his life for a friend ". Cmw

Amazing insight!

Wow! Wow! Wow!

What an amazing series! I've pretty much watched this back to back over the last couple days and am amazed by the work these guys do.

Dare I say, the work they do and under the conditions they do it under, leave you thinking they're almost God like. Every mission, they are confronted by cases and images that far exceed what the average street Paramedic would ever see in their entire career.

They have people's lives hanging in their hands as they work in the back of these noisy, cramped, bouncing helicopters coupled with extreme stress of gunfire, IED attacks and not speaking the language of many of the people they're helping.

If you're into this sort of stuff, this is so worth the watch. It's full on. It's confronting. It's gory and graphic at times, but you won't be disappointed.

These men are amazing. The selfless job these men did will make you thankful for our Air Force Special Operators. You will laugh, and cry at their deployment. The final episode is heartbreaking. I cannot recommend this enough.
