Movie Review

Todd Tarantula was a very cool movie. I especially loved David Selby in it. It had a weird feel to it without being scary. I would enjoy more movies like this. I especially loved the time travel from past to future. It had some moments in the story line with Todd and his Dad. I was glad that David Selby won an award for his role in the movie. He is a great actor in all that he does. I would like to see a part 2 of this movie be made so you can see where Todd and Roberto ends up. I would totally recommend this and I am so glad that it was brought to TUBI to be enjoyed for free. If you are a fan of David Selby, you will love it.

Beautiful story and imagery

I'm not a person who likes cartoons or anime and though this has a cartoonish feel with the rotoscoping, which I was unaware of until I heard about the movie, I was very impressed. There is warmth and depth of the characters and you feel for their plight. The young actor playing Todd, Ethan Walker, was outstanding. He reminds me a bit of Heath Ledger. There is the vulnerability there that Heath often exuded. I expect great things from him!

David Selby is of course as fabulous as always! He can make the devil appear to be most charming! Lucifer Gray reminded me somewhat of Richard Channing. Suave and likeable but heartless. Super performance! Would have liked to have seen his face some without the rotoscoping, though!

The colors are great and beautiful. I like seeing the images of Los Angeles in this way. And the story makes you feel sad that the once beautiful country is now a large, sprawling city. I was so glad that Ansel did not resort to outlandish violence or a stereotypical cartoonish story. The science fiction aspect was well done. Very believable and it fit perfectly well into the story.

I Had heard the podcast with Ansel, David and Nathan on Terror at Collinwood and it inspired me to check out the movie. I have not seen any of Ansel's other movies but will definitely check them out. This one, however, I have the feeling is his best to date. The other cast members were also great! And Lacy Salome was quite fun!

I highly recommend it anyone! Great job! I look forward to more outstanding works from Ansel, David and Nathan!

Psychedelic Wonderland!

Wonderful movie... it accomplished what all art should... took me out of this world for a time. The storyline kept me guessing (no spoilers here) and the ending was satisfying... not what I guessed. I will have to research some LA folklore and find what ties this tale together or does it all come from Mr. Farja's twisted (good thing) imagination.

Take Ralph Bakshi' animated on live character vibe and drop a micro dot. You'll be in fine company.

David Selby really hit the mark... not his normal role and that's worth the price for admission. I do hope Baracuda is OK...Todd and Roberto will have to see to that. ENJOY!

A Psychedelic Adventure

A unique , exciting , fun film packed with out of this world visual and audio effects that will leave you excited and anxious as you take an exhilarating trip into the unknown.

The story line is fascinating and brings you into a world of past , present , and future with a touch of mystery and bizarre events in the life of a troubled young man ( Todd Tarantula, played by Ethan Walker ) .

All the starring performers act brilliantly throughout the movie and will leave you totally engrossed in a time thread that is definitely out of the ordinary.

David Selby meticulously portrays the dark sided persona of Lucifer Grey , allowing us to once again observe and enjoy his tremendous talent of character acting .

So , if you are fond of roller coaster rides , would like to escape into an atmosphere of chills and thrills, and have a look at a time portal that is nostalgically psychedelic, then this is a movie that will bring you to an existence that you will never forget.

Thrill ride through the streets of L.A.

This fantastic film takes us on a thrill ride through the streets of Los Angeles. We ride along with Todd Tarantula (played by Ethan Walker) as he searches for his motorcycle. In the process, he meets Lucifer Gray (played by the great David Selby) and discovers some shocking things about himself and his parents.

One of the many things that makes this film so unique is the look of it. I felt like I was turning the pages of a comic book. It's got some beautiful and vivid colors.

It's action packed and intense at times but in a very fun way. It's a film to be watched with friends on a Friday night.
