Well...

Warning: Spoilers
Compared to other episodes in this season, this episode was not that bad. The writing was decent and it definitely had its moments, but the show has just become simply unrelatable.

Also, Charlotte's storyline with Lily was just weird. All of the kids in this series are entitled little brats! First it was Lily telling Charlotte that she NEEDS a reservation at Nobu, then announcing to everyone that she was ready to lose her virginity??? Most 17 year olds would never be caught dead telling their parents that they wanted to be sexually active, let alone demanding their mom to buy them condoms in the middle of a snowstorm. Maybe I'm being harsh, but it just seems weird for a child to want their parents be that involved with their sex lives. Yikes.

Miranda's storyline in this episode was a step in the right direction. I enjoyed her storyline with Steve. I feel Steve has got the short end of the stick this series and I'm glad he finally stood up to Miranda.

Carrie's storyline was my favorite this episode as it felt like the old SATC once again. I loved how Carrie overcame her fears at Widowcon and was herself. Also, I am super excited to see where Aiden will fit back into the story. :)

Wow, the writers finally got their bearings

Warning: Spoilers
I have been watching AJLT mostly out of nostalgia, but not really enjoying it until this episode. Most of it feels cringe and unrelatable, and didn't have any of the magic we all loved in the original series.

This episode (aside from Charlottes usual ridiculousness) finally featured all of the things that we loved about SATC. Character development, emotion, amazing wardrobe, and Carrie reading from her book. Miranda thus far had not felt like her original character at all, being all clingy and following Che around like a lost puppy, but the fight between her and Steve evoked that nostalgia that has been sorely lacking. I sincerely hope Aiden actually comes back, he was one of my favorite characters and if we can't have Big at least we could have our other comfort couple. If the show continues in this vein it will be far more enjoyable.

An episode I actually enjoyed

Warning: Spoilers
This was by far a much longed for episode - lots of drama and tension. Welcome back Steve!

I'm not sure what's going on with SJP voice as it's so deep now but she seems to have lost her ability to have any emotional vocal acting skills or range - very flat and dull.

Well we finally had a showdown between Steve (my house) and Miranda (my mortgage) which was a doozy and very emotional for all. I was really hoping they hugged and everything would be fine but no, the writers still wanna make Steve look like an idiot. (condom wrapper). Also did I hear that right about the bar he apparently owns/runs is called Scout? Touching, named after their dog. Shame the writers couldn't dedicate other important things or memories or people who have passed on, such as Magda or Mary (Steve's mum).

Did I miss something in an episode as to why Lisa is wearing wigs? I must have.

Anyway it was quite an enjoyable episode and thank the gods that Che and Miranda have split. They were so painful to watch.

Another excellent episode

Many of us weren't sure if the reboot could work. We all needed to adjust, the fans, the actresses, the writers. But I feel like it clicked this season. I'm really enjoying the stories and developments, the diversity, and the realness of the older versions of the gang we loved back then. We have grown older too. And just like in Sex & The City back then, I find parts of my life displayed in the series. That was what made it special when it started, and the vibe is different but it's there. Cynthia Nixon did a good job directing this episode, and she also gave a great performance. I'm looking forward to more episodes and hopefully more seasons.

AJLT this show has improved!

Steve and Anthony being highlights of Season 2 AJLT was not on my bingo card, but these guys -- when given something real to do -- really are fantastic.

The whole reboot has been wildly uneven of course, and often cringey, occasional great moments buried in nonsense. So maybe not a shock after all that David Eigenberg and Mario Cantone have seized the spotlight.

This episode (directed by Cynthia Nixon) is a standout, particularly as Nixon creates a showcase for Eigenberg, her longtime co-star in this universe, and a pivotal moment for Miranda and Steve.

Eigenberg, more well known in the last decade for 230+ episodes as Herrmann in the solar-opposite universe of Chicago Fire, has been underused in the SATC/AJLT from the beginning. Very cool to see this terrific actor/character, and his relationship to the American Dream, deservedly explored.
