  Catherine Chandler : It does. Um... Evan tipped them off.

  Vincent Keller : How do you know?

  Catherine Chandler : He told me. He saw us together at my apartment two nights ago, and then he followed you to the tunnels from there. Maybe if I had just been honest with him sooner...

  Vincent Keller : Catherine, come on. That's not your fault.

  Catherine Chandler : It is my fault. I let him take things too far, especially his feelings for me. You should have heard him.

  Vincent Keller : What did he say?

  Catherine Chandler : That we could never be together. That our love would never work out. He was upset.

  Vincent Keller : He sent a death squad after me.

  Catherine Chandler : Which is why I need to talk to him and convince him that you are not the monster that he thinks you are. If he can bring Muirfield to your door, he can lure them away.

  Vincent Keller : No, you're in enough danger as it is. I think it's about time I talk to him.

  Catherine Chandler : Okay, I don't see that ending well.

  Vincent Keller : Listen, Catherine, they're gonna ask him how he picked up on my trail, okay? And he may deflect a few times, but eventually they will stop asking nicely, and he will give you up. Okay? You know it's true, and I can't let that happen.

  Catherine Chandler : You're gonna have to. 'Cause you can't walk into my precinct for a little mano a mano. I can take care of this, okay?

• Vincent Keller : Don't even think about calling her.

  Evan Marks : What are you doing here?

  Vincent Keller : Trying to stop you from getting Catherine killed like you tried with me. They would have bugged your phone by now; you push "send", and they will track her down and they will kill her.

  Evan Marks : Now what? You gonna rip out my throat?

  Vincent Keller : Oh, it's tempting. But here's your other option. You're gonna pick up my trail somewhere else; somewhere that Muirfield will follow. Somewhere you wanna live, where you can get lost and never come back.

  Evan Marks : That's it? I just abandon Catherine into your so-called hands?

  Vincent Keller : You have no idea of the people you just signed up with, do you? They're dangerous.

  Evan Marks : And you're not? The vigilante who's killed countless New Yorkers? What, Cat's better off with a menace like you?

  Vincent Keller : She seems to think so.

  Evan Marks : She's just fascinated by you. That's the only reason why she's with you.

  Vincent Keller : Or maybe she's in love with me.

• Evan Marks : Muirfield haven't stopped their experiments. They're trying to make a new generation of cross-species creature.

  Vincent Keller : And you're just putting this together now?

  Evan Marks : They wanna cut you open and see what makes you tick.

  Vincent Keller : They know what makes me tick. They made me. I was part of a highly-classified secret military experiment to create a unit of supersoldiers. These people are lethal, okay? That's why J.T. tried to stop you from joining them.

  Evan Marks : You know J.T. Forbes?

  Vincent Keller : Yeah, we grew up together. Picture becoming clear for you now?

  Evan Marks : Grew up? I... you mean they didn't...

  Vincent Keller : What, grow me in a petri dish? Is that what you think?

  Evan Marks : And now they wanna improve upon their mistakes. They lied to me. They said that they just wanted to tie up loose ends.

  Vincent Keller : Yeah, well, now you and Catherine are those loose ends. So if anything happens to her, it is on your hands.

  Evan Marks : I don't know if I can save her.

• Catherine Chandler : How do you always find me?

  Vincent Keller : I never stop looking.

  Catherine Chandler : Maybe you should. I almost got you killed, and Evan died, and he took the blame for me at the precinct.

  Vincent Keller : Catherine, come on. You were willing to sacrifice your own life to try and help him, even after he betrayed you.

  Vincent Keller : I am in awe of you. Do you know how strong you are?

  Catherine Chandler : Strong? I am selfish. He's dead because of me.

  Vincent Keller : No, Evan made his own decisions. He did what he did because he cared about you.

  Catherine Chandler : I'm putting you at risk, too.

  Vincent Keller : You're taking way too much responsibility.

  Catherine Chandler : Am I? If I hadn't shown up at the warehouse after we first met, you would have left town. Muirfield never would have found you.

  Vincent Keller : How does that make you selfish?

  Catherine Chandler : I should have pushed you away, but I pulled you closer. I couldn't help it.

  Vincent Keller : And you think I could?

• Vincent Keller : In all those years that I was watching over you, making sure you were safe, all I ever wanted was to meet you, to get to know you. So when you walked up those stairs that day in the warehouse, and you had figured out who I was and I was begging you not to tell anyone...

  Catherine Chandler : I remember.

  Vincent Keller : That was the best day of my life.

  Catherine Chandler : Vincent...

  Vincent Keller : No, it was. And I know it was wrong. I know I should have run right then and there, and that would have been the safest thing for you. But even though Muirfield was out there, I just... I couldn't help myself, either.

  Catherine Chandler : That's not true. You pushed me away.

  Vincent Keller : Do you really think I tried as hard as I could have?

  Catherine Chandler : We put each other in danger. That's what Evan showed me tonight. And as long as we love each other this much and will do anything to protect each other...

  Vincent Keller : Hey. We are always gonna be vulnerable. But I don't know what to do now, because I can't live without you.

  Catherine Chandler : We wouldn't have to be vulnerable if Muirfield was out of the way.

• J.T. Forbes : Thanks for helping me move these. Did you do laundry at Cat's?

  Vincent Keller : Maybe. Why?

  J.T. Forbes : 'Cause your spring rain scent is drowning out the raw sewage and rat droppings.

  Vincent Keller : Yeah, well, imagine it with my sense of smell.

• Evan Marks : You really think dragging her into your world, forcing her into some twisted relationship with a monster, is protecting her? How long do you think this fairy tale will last?

  Vincent Keller : You're on the wrong side. You need to stop this hunt now.

  Evan Marks : Hunt? You're to blame. You knew that Muirfield were after you and yet you put Catherine right in the middle of it all. You put her life on the line just so you could selfishly be with her.

  Vincent Keller : Are you really so naive to think that this black ops agency is just gonna let Catherine go? I know them. I know they'll ask you how you found me. How long do you think you'll last before you give up her name?

  Evan Marks : I would never.

  Vincent Keller : They have killed men ten times stronger than you. When push comes to shove, you will break, and then who's the threat to her?

  Evan Marks : There won't be a threat once you're gone.
