Before you read this, I am going to say that there is a lot of great individual things about this show that could make it a contender for a D n' D show. It has some pretty good ideas. The problem with it is that they need to be refined, in some cases heavily refined, to make a great cohesive story...
Well this ended with a splat... maybe the ending is the best possible ending that could have been but that doesn't save this series.
Let me just say this: this is the first episode that I intentionally skipped through half of the episode because this episode is full of callbacks to the first episodes which weren't that good to remember.
Here is the thing... I honestly don't understand some things like: what happened to Melinda's original body? What happened to Sing's original body? Because Merlin has been in the last 3 episodes and his crusty old butt is still in his old body that we have seen in episode 1... so a sorcerer's body can be made immortal... it seems like it...
I appreciate that Gendy or the writer left the audience to kind of decide what was obvious, I am just surprised no one ever questions it. Like no one asks questions... no one discusses anything... if this was a reality show then everyone keeps acting awkwardly when the cameras are on and when the cameras are off everyone discusses the important stuff that the viewer wants to know...
Here is my conclusion: I honestly think that this season is NOT a real refined season. I THINK HBO wanted a sizzle reel for the show, and they stretched it to 10 episodes... no refining... no time to work out the kinks... just content for the streaming service...
