Sex & Nudity

  • Season 2 contains some sex scenes and disturbing scenes of sexuality such as a gay escort duck taping his clients heads and dancing in his underwear. Some scenes take place in a gay bar, or at male strip clubs. Andrew is seen nude in a few scenes but we never see his genitals.
  • There are some sexual references throughout the series.
  • Season 1 only bare male butt in last episode
  • A woman describes having her crotch grabbed innapropriately in season 1.
  • Two women pull up their shirts and flash men at a beach in season 1. As the car moves, a woman breast slightly appears. Nothing explicit is shown unless you pause the video.
  • Season 3: Impeachment covers Bill Clinton and the large amount of women he's sexually harassed over the years as President.

Violence & Gore

  • Season 2 (The Assassination of Gianni Versace): One of the main characters, Andrew Cunanan, is a serial killer. He graphically commits five murders by beating, shooting, and stabbing his victims, with the most brutal details kept off-screen. In episode 1, Gianni Versace is repeatedly seen with a gruesome head wound during his attempted revival.
  • Rape is discussed briefly several times in season 1.
  • Season 1 (The People V. O.J Simpson): Because this program is portraying the events of the O.J. Simpson murder trial, the gruesome and sometimes disturbing elements of this case are shown. While the killings are portrayed after they happened, it may still be disturbing for younger viewers. The crime scene with the two victims (Nicole Brown Simpson, and Ronald Goldman) and lots of blood are shown at various times. Photos of the crime scene are shown with details of the injuries.
  • Characters describe violent acts including murder and abuse.

Profanity

  • In season two. The gay slurs "fag" and "faggot" are said, one is written.
  • Multiple uses of "shit" (an its derivatives) in every episode. Other mild language like "damn it" and "asshole" are used as well.
  • "Fuck" is used in some episodes along with some racial slurs such as "nigger"

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • Season 2 (The Assassination of Gianni Versace): Three scenes involve methamphetamine smoking/injection. There are a few brief instances of cocaine use.
  • Characters are often shown drinking alcohol and smoking (including a main protagonist).
  • Characters are occasionally shown in a bar.
  • O.J is seen taking pills quite often.
  • There are a few brief instances of cocaine use.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Season 1: As stated above, this program is portraying the events of the O.J. Simpson murder trial.
  • Newsreel footage about racial violence is shown.
  • One of the victim's parent is seen crying because of the death of their son, while describing his life and how it came to an end.
  • The bloody crime scenes can be frightening for some viewers.
  • A character threatens to commit suicide.

  • There is some sexual misconduct surrounding a main character in Season 1. It is implied that she had a nude photograph of herself taken by her previous lover. The picture was put into a public magazine, we don't see it.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • A man commits suicide by taking an entire bottle of pills.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Season 2: The main character Andrew Cunanan is a complete psychopath, being a mentally insane serial killer who derives extreme pleasure in murdering people without remorse, all in a very brutal fashion, and is also very narssicistic. His behavior and personality are very frightening and disturbing. Episode 9 shows Andrew shooting himself in the mouth, killing him instantly, this is extremely disturbing.
