Detective Mandy assures Kato of his commitment to destroying the zombies by explaining how much the zombies have taken from him and says, "I need their blood on my knife," all of which is from the scene where Magua explains his hatred for Colonel Munro in The Last of the Mohicans (1992). When the Singing Dancing Zombie stands on top of the pool table during the city council attack, gestures like Julie Andrews atop the mountain and sings, "The hills are alive, with the sound of zombies!!!" in a parody of The Sound of Music (1965)- The shot of Mandy's Wife throwing the spaghetti strainer at Mandy, where the camera follows the strainer through the air until it hits Mandy, is a parody of shots of the Killer Rabbit attack in Monty Python and the Holy Grail.
Jaws (1975)
When the widowed Mayor's Assistant's Wife comes to see the Mayor, she slaps him and says she heard Detective Mandy had warned about the zombies, but the Mayor chose to ignore him, in a parody of the Jaws scene where Mrs. Kitner confronts Chief Brody. The character of Kato the Great Zombie Hunter is a parody of Quint, from Jaws (1975), including a nearly identical introduction in the town hall meeting.
