Each generation has its sweethears and each generation has its proper stars. This is a normal thing when Hollywood is concerned and whether you’re 20 or 80, you will certainly know most of the popular names from each acting generation you’ve witnessed during your lifetime. This generation is, of course, not an exception and the current A-list of the biggest young stars in Hollywood at this moment has been published by The Hollywood Reporter, finally revealing the most sought after names whose appearances are more or less a guarantee of a movie’s success at the box office.
Since this is undoubtedly a major event in the movie industry, we have decided to provide you with the names on the list and give our own impressions on whether these names deserve to be here or not when compared to some other colleagues. A lot has to be taken in here – popularity,...

The cape was once the kingmaker. But the movie stars at the top of studios’ most-wanted lists today have largely avoided cinematic universes. Instead of being pulled up to the A-list with a call from Marvel or DC (like earlier breakouts Chris Evans, Gal Gadot and Jason Momoa), today’s top talents — according to THR’s survey of executives, managers and agents — were anointed by auteur directors. Austin Butler was tapped by Baz Luhrmann for Elvis, while Denis Villeneuve gave nearly a third of this list their first franchise movie with his Dune features.
Today’s young stars are also less formulaic than their predecessors of just a decade ago, whose indie debuts or tiny Oscar turns were quickly followed by IP-backed film series. They are more agnostic, too, moving easily among studio filmmaking, indie efforts and television. Unlike past eras, there’s also not a single “type” dominating the group.

As fall creeps closer, major studios have to plan out their next steps if writers and actors continue to strike. At this point it’s already impossible for the fall production schedule to move forward normally, even if the Writers Guild of America (WGA) and Screen Actors Guild - American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA) went back to work today.
Some outlets, like Paramount Global have already announced they’ll use reruns of streaming and older network shows to fill in programming gaps this fall. New data from Civic Science is showing that viewers could respond to such tactics, at least initially.

Civic Science’s numbers show that 58% of audiences would be at least somewhat likely to watch a rerun on network television channels like ABC, CBS, The CW, Fox and NBC during the strike.
