On the mountain, after Walt falls in the creek, he sees an owl which then flies away with a loud flapping of wings. Owl wings makes no noise when they fly, they are silent hunters.
When Sheriff Longmire catches up with the snow cat, he is wearing snowshoes. But when the escaped prisoner shoots at him and he is tumbling down the mountain, he is not.
A sheriff's station with no emergency lighting.
From 35:37 -Walt trying to create sparks with his Buck knife won't work because the knife's bolster is made from brass.
Walt falls over and rolls a long way down a snowy slope. He lost his hat on the way down. Then he lands in a creek. When he gets out of the creek, his hat is on the ground adjacent. Interesting.
On the morning after the snowstorm there is not very much snow on the ground, and none at all on the trees.
Early in the episode, as Longmire transports a prisoner, a buffalo blocks one lane of the highway and the Sheriff seems to think he can't pass. As they wait, the baby white buffalo--an important omen--wanders by. Once the baby buffalo has passed, they simply drive around the buffalo that had been "blocking" the road, which they could have done at any time.
After falling into the creek Walt should have been unconscious from hypothermia within 15 minutes.
Since the sheriff's station is also a 911 emergency call center it should have a backup generator.
At 09:44- Vic discovers that the toothpicks are made of metal and Walt doesn't use the radio to send out an alert.
The detective (or the vision) calls the magazine Walt finds a 'clip'.
