I love Dolly
astrerotimothydaniel4 November 2023
Dolly De Leon's performance in "Triangle of Sadness" was absolutely incredible. She truly is a TALENT. But let's shift gears and talk about her new film, Keys to the Heart.

I have to admit, "Keys to the Heart" didn't quite meet my expectations. The repetitive use of "Clair de Lune" as background music became somewhat distracting for me.

Every time that melody played, it instantly reminded me of another film called "Everything Everywhere All At Once," (one of my absolute favourite films kasi hahaha) and that association wasn't a positive one.

Nevertheless, my admiration for Dolly De Leon as an actress hasn't diminished at all.

So many unclear things.

This movie tried so hard to incorporate various elements to make it seem like a "good" movie. First it focused on the mother which made it seem that the movie would be about her. Then coincidentally, her son was just working near her. I thought it would be about them reconnecting. Then the movie became about the boxer son. Then became about the boxer son and the mentally challenged brother connecting with each other. THEN it became about the mentally challenged brother as a talented pianist. With the cliche of a Filipino-drama where everything works out in the end. Disappointed but not new haha.

The best Filipino Film I have ever seen
lunaventure13 April 2024
I've watched many Filipino Films, in general they focus on crime and the poverty. Which is not good for the Philippines. It was nice to see something different. Dolly De Leon gave a wonderful performance as always. The main star of the film was the young actor who played an autistic boy. His acting was very believable. I am sure that it was not an easy job for him. In the Philippines Boxing is a national sport. So of course it makes sense to have boxing in the film. The fight coordination was excellent. The cinematography was very well done. Most Filipino films are a tad dark, unless its a rom -com. This is not a typical Filipino film.
