I liked a lot this episode: While at first sight the plot from this chapter seemed like another version the classic plot of one guy trying to cause a good impression on his girlfriend's father (Basically, the main plot from the "Meet the Parents" movies)the result is still far more entertaining and less predictable than one would expect.
One of the most notorious aspects from this episode is that it introduces many of the Margaret's family members, particularly his father,Frank Smith. (There is some speculation about him being not really her biological father, but her step-father instead, but there is nothing confirmed about that.)
It is strange that Margaret's father turned out to be a human. But I guess that would explain why she used to date with humans in some episodes from the first season of the series. That's what I call a subtle example of Fridge brilliance.
The scene where Mordecai wears a thong was simply hilarious.
