Sublime Horror

I really liked this episode. It was laced with edge-of-the-seat suspense and mystery that had me hooked to my TV throughout the 50-minute runtime.

What attracted me the most was the fact that this isn't your conventional horror TV show like American Horror Story and possibly, The Walking Dead. In it, a lot of the action is occurring off-screen and a lot of the story is still draped in dark curtains of obscurity. Is Ethan a werewolf? Is Grey's life eternal (I haven't read the book so I don't know yet)? What kind of demon possesses Vanessa? Why is Mina being used by the vampires? To be concise, a lot is left to the viewer's imagination.

Additionally, the writing of this show has been great throughout, even beautiful. And I must confess that this episode in particular had me going for the dictionary a couple of times! In short, this is a great TV series and I hope it continues.

P.S: Seeing the previews, I can't wait for next week's episode. Looks fantastic.

a worth while episode

This is a much better episode than the previous getting back to the stuff we were watching before they decided to make the previous episode a flashback that was okay but overall we did not not a whole hour just to tell us stuff we could figure out on our own, this episode got back to business and forwarded the plot progression and character interactions.

Vampires, oh my!
Wirefan12221 November 2017
Warning: Spoilers
Sir Malcolm, Sembene and the gunslinger go searching for clues to Mina's disappearance on a plague ship. Vanessa had a slight vision of a ship and that is what led them to the port of London. Vanessa does not go along as the Dorian Gray has taken her out for the evening. We even get to watch him cut her dinner up while he tells her how worldly he is.

Malcolm and gang find a ship full of what appear to be vampires! I won't spoil what happens there as it is the most interesting part of the show.

Frankenstein's monster can't get a date and his master is not quick enough so monster kills Van Helsing who is trying to get Frankenstein up to speed on all the vampire lore. I guess he can work on getting baby Frankenstein a date now.

Dorian Gray and Vanessa have a lovely date where we find out how narcissistic (if you hadn't already guessed) he is and we get to watch the sappy seduction of Vanessa. Does she not see that the guy is just creepy? Such is love/lust, I guess.

Oh and Brona is still sick.

The side plots are not getting any better in my opinion although Dorian gets a bit more interesting finally.
