Camp X-Ray was a temporary detention facility for detainees at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba and it was Camp Delta's predecessor. Camp X-Ray was the first camp that was built at GITMO. It was later changed to Camp Delta 1, 2, 3 and 4. Camp X-Ray was moved and became Camp Echo. Each of the original tiers or blocks were part of Camp Delta. Camp X-Ray became the incoming or processing area until Echo was established in 2003. The current facility is a more permanent block and mortar prison and it is still called Camp Delta.
