Not quite cliptastic

"Phineas and Ferb Musical Cliptastic Countdown hosted by Kelly Osbourne" was watched with mixed expectations. The clipshow song countdown premise has been done before on 'Phineas and Ferb' with "Phineas and Ferb Musical Cliptastic Countdown", which to me was fabulous and felt very affectionate rather than slapped together or too much of a cheat. This episode was seen later than all the others, due to its lack of airtime due to Kelly Osbourne's controversy that year.

There are definitely far better episodes of 'Phineas and Ferb' than "Phineas and Ferb Musical Cliptastic Countdown Hosted by Kelly Osbourne", including the aforementioned countdown episode. By all means this episode was fun to watch and it was interesting to see which songs were picked for the countdown and their positions, but part of me did question the point of it and also the point of Osbourne's hosting. Can see why it is the show's lowest rated episode, while still considering it worth seeing.

Every 'Phineas and Ferb' episode has more good things than bad and there is plenty to like actually about "Phineas and Ferb Musical Cliptastic Countdown Hosted by Kelly Osbourne". The animation is bright and colourful as always and the character animation and expressions are fun and nicely varied. The theme song is still infectious and quotable. The writing is full of wit and intelligence throughout, especially with Doofenschmirtz and Monogram (at his most interesting in a while), whether in the songs or in the plotting centered around them, and the pacing is lively.

All the songs featured in the countdown are great and were worthy of being there, their placement not questionable. Would have kicked up a fuss if "Summer Belongs to You" wasn't included. Doofenschmirtz and Monogram's roles are hugely entertaining and enjoyed their dynamic, which one doesn't see a lot. Doofenschmirtz is wonderfully wacky and Perry is as adorable, funny and resourceful as ever. Good to have some sort of plot revolving around the countdown rather than it just being counting down and it was a fun plot. The voice acting is without issue.

However, not everything works. Did not see the point of Osbourne being there, it would have been a lot better if it was just Monogram and Doofenschmirtz presenting. She doesn't really do that much and what she is given makes her come over as annoying and also very toned down. While most of the writing is absolutely fine, some of her narrating was very corny and awkward which jarred.

While the story is fun, the outcome is predictable and with there already being a significantly better, more inspired countdown episode the episode didn't feel needed. Do have to agree that "Gimme a Grade's" omission was a major mistake, considering how much of a turning point it was for Baljeet and that it is one of the show's biggest turning points character writing wise.

Concluding, entertaining enough but didn't feel needed. 6/10.

Most of the songs were awesome!

A slightly better song choice then the last time. Gimme a Grade was voted, but it didn't make it to the countdown. I wish it did. That was Baljeet's biggest moment of the show!

Better song seclection

. This section is better than the last one. But I really wish Gimme a Grade made it to the list; It lost to "Summer (Where Do We Begin?)"! but I really don't like #3 because of what happens in that episode. Gimme a Grade may not be selected for the countdown, but It's the #1 famous song in he show! As much love as Gitchie Gitchie Goo gets!
