- Georges Hayek: Well, the truth is that we are killing animals, and animals are killing us in return.
- George Monbiot: So, this is the danger. The danger is apologizing. The danger is falling into line. The danger is not speaking out.
- George Monbiot: But they say: "Any attempt to restrict the way we farm is assaulting our culture". So, is your culture really having a giant steel shed with 40,000 chickens in it? Is that your culture? Is that the culture that is being attacked? Cutting down large areas of forest just in order to claim European farm subsidies? This is your culture? But it's because people believe the stories.

- Gabriel Mateus: My need to go deeper and study nutrition was purely selfish at first: I wanted to cure my daughter. And it was in the course of that process and the transformation it had on me and on my perspective about health and on what we could do I realized that what I began investigating couldn't stay just with me, nor just my daughter.
- Ricardo Oliveira: Obviously the sanctuaries are, in themselves, the end and the solution so that these animals have the chance and the possibility of a different life, away from exploitation or slaughter, but it has to be more than that. We can't just rid these animals of a life of exploitation or death, it has to be possible for them to live their lives to the fullest, and we should be their voice, a voice that ensures that, in some way, people understand there's no difference between the dignity of the life of a child, of a dog, of a cat, of a pig, or of a cow. That respect must, it should and it must, be the same. Because the value of their lives and the value of their decisions and their capacity to love are all intrinsic and doesn't even require our evaluation.
- Georges Hayek: I'm going to ask the question for everyone, and for hospital owners: If processed meat is considered carcinogenic, is it ethical, or moral, or logical, to be offering food that has been classified as carcinogenic and in the same category of tobacco, of cigarettes?
- George Monbiot: People see the pretty pictures and think Oh, that's what it's about, and they're not looking underneath that. This is public relations, it's marketing. And it's all false. It's fraudulent. But it's very, very successful. It's the most successful greenwash I've ever come across.
