For any music lovers who are curious about how people in the Middle East live amid the turmoil of regime change and the constant threat of war, this film proves that great music and common understanding between people of different cultures is all we need to stitch up that which violence threatens to destroy. An affirming piece of story telling that goes beneath the CNN clips and proves that no matter the situation, all people just want to let loose, forget their cares, and rock out for a bit, even as the threat of the outside world looms large. You do not need to be a fan of punk or indie rock music to enjoy this one: just a fan of the idea that the best way to solve our problems is to come together and have a good time. The Black Lips should be applauded for their tour off the beaten path, and this film pays homage to the authentic soul the band brings to everything they do.
