Wow!
Before watching this story, I had it in my head that the series should end after thus series (2 more instalments to go now!) but this was a great episode and the highest I have ranked this or the original series in quite some time (the original series went downhill after Sam kept leaping into famous people's lives - Lee Harvey Oswald was the end for me).
As I said, this was a powerful episode. Maybe the writers are pulling out all the stops for a big finale or this is to be the standard in future; time will tell.
Having two British actors (Peter Gadiot as Tom and James Frain as Gideon) is a big bonus. The Brits always make the best baddies and also the support actor that gets let down. They know how to be magnanimous and where they fit in the plans of American tv or cinema.
The story is a good one with a sensitive story even if the power of good is put before family blood.
A great watch.
