- Theon Greyjoy is sent by Ramsey to Moat Cailin to convince an ironborn garrison to surrender, promising that they will return to their land. The Wildlings slaughter Mole's Town but Ygritte spares Gilly and her baby. When Sam hears the news in Castle Black, he becomes worried with Gilly, but his friends comfort. A boy gives a scroll to Barristan with the pardon of Jorah signed by Robert Baratheon and Daenerys expels him from the city. Littlefinger is explaining the death of his wife Lysa to a court and Sansa is asked to testify as a witness, and she lies to protect him. - Ramsay now trusts slavish Riek enough to approach the exhausted Ironborn garrison at Moat Cailin 'posing' as Theon Greyjoy and convince his countrymen to surrender it for safe passage home, which they do after killing their mistrusting commander, and Roose Bolton rewards Ramsay for the ruse by recognizing the bastard as his son and heir of the largest territory in the seven realms. Jon and his mates guessed right that Sam's wife and baby may have survived the Willdling pillaging of Mole's Town by . Littlefinger is acquitted by the lords of the Vale sitting in court for the death of Lysa, ruled a suicide after false testimony in his favor by Sansa, who fears the unknown more and accepts wedding Robin. Jorah is banished at pain of death after Barristan shows Daenerys the anonymously delivered pardon scroll signed by Robert Baratheon proving Mormont was a royal 'spy'. To Jaime's pleasant surprise, Tyrion's champion Oberyn Martell dances around Cersei's masterly, but by sparing him fatal wounds to incessantly demand a confession for the rape and murder of his sister Elia at Cersei's orders, ends up fatally gripped by the already decked Gregor 'The Mountain' Clegane, sealing Tyon's death sentence for regicide by Tywin in Tommen's name.—KGF Vissers
- The Wildlings attack Mole's Town. Ygritte discovers Gilly hiding and spares her and Little Sam. Ramsay forces Theon to negotiate with the Ironborn to surrender Moat Cailin. The Ironborn agree, hoping to return home, but Ramsay flays and slaughters them. As a reward for securing Moat Cailin, Roose legitimizes Ramsay as a Bolton, making him his heir. In the Vale, Sansa tells the council investigating Lysa's death her true identity and claims that Littlefinger is innocent of murdering her aunt. While Littlefinger starts grooming Robin as the Lord of the Vale, the Hound and Arya arrive, only to leave upon learning of Lysa's death. In King's Landing, the trial by combat begins. Oberyn gains the upper hand but momentarily relaxes his guard while demanding that Ser Gregor confess his crimes. Near death, Ser Gregor trips Oberyn and crushes his skull while boasting that he raped and murdered Elia. Tywin sentences Tyrion to death. In Essos, Grey Worm and Missandei grow closer. Barristan Selmy intercepts a long-delayed pardon from King Robert for Jorah as a reward for spying on Daenerys. She then exiles Jorah from Meereen as a result.
- The Wildlings attack Mole's Town. Gilly, hiding, is discovered by Ygritte, who spares her as she had a baby in her arms. Tormund and Styr (Leader of the Thenns) massacre the entire Town. The news of the attack reaches Castle black. Sam is worried since he left Gilly at Mole's town. Jon says that the wild-lings are trying to draw the Night's watch out of castle black to confront them out in the open. Jon knows that Castle black is next. They have 105 men against an invading horde of a 100,000.
Grey Worm (Jacob Anderson), commander of the Unsullied has feelings for Missandei (Nathalie Emmanuel), Daenerys's translator. Missandei learns that Grey Worm truly loves her, even though he was castrated when he was inducted into the Unsullied. Grey Worm is not sorry for his castration, as he became the unsullied, he met Daenerys, became the leader of the Unsullied, and then met Missandei, whom he loves.
Ramsay forces Theon to convince the Ironborn garrison to surrender Moat Cailin. The Garrison inside Moat Cailin is suffering from death, injuries and starvation and the Bolton army has surrounded them from all sides. Theon tells the garrison that Ramsay Bolton took him captive at Winterfell. He says Ramsay Bolton has sent Theon to talk to the garrison in good faith. The Ironborn surrender in hopes of returning home (having been promised a safe passage by the Boltons, message delivered by Theon). The garrison commander refuses to surrender and Theon is very close to reverting to his Reek persona. But the garrison troops murder their own commander and decide to surrender to Ramsay. But Ramsay flays and slaughters them. As a reward for securing Moat Cailin, Roose legitimizes Ramsay as a Bolton and makes him his heir (the North is larger than the other 6 kingdoms combined, so this is a significant step).
In the Vale, Sansa tells the council (led by Lord Royce (Rupert Vansittart)) investigating Lysa's death her true identity and claims that Littlefinger is innocent and that in fact he is the only one who had been protecting her so far. Before this Lord Royce wondered that within days of Petyr's arrival in the Vale, he married Lady Arryn and she committed suicide by falling through the moon door. Sansa testifies that Petyr was her only friend in King's Landing and he even smuggled her away when he had the chance. He brought her to Vale, to safety with her aunt Lysa. But then one day Lysa saw Petyr kiss Sansa (Sansa claims it was a peck on the cheeks). Lysa was jealous and feared that Petyr would leave her. Even as Petyr tried to counsel Lysa and professed his love for her, she jumped through the moon door. While Littlefinger starts grooming Lysa's son, Robin Arryn, as the Lord of the Vale (with Sansa taking active part in the grooming and visiting of all castles of the Vale). The Hound and Arya arrive and are informed of Lysa's death at the gate. Arya laughs as Sandor's plan to ransom Arya to Lysa has failed. The guards didn't know that Sansa was in the castle at that very moment, as she was living there as Petyr's niece.
In King's Landing, the trial by combat begins. Oberyn fights with very light armor (as he likes to move around) and he was even drinking before the fight. Oberyn gains the upper hand but momentarily relaxes his guard while demanding that Ser Gregor confess his crimes. Ser Gregor kills Oberyn by crushing his skull while admitting he raped and murdered Elia. Tywin sentences Tyrion to death.
In Essos, Barristan Selmy (Ian McElhinney) intercepts a letter for Jorah (Iain Glen) that pardons (signed by RObert Baratheon) him as a reward for spying on Daenerys. Jorah pleads that this is the work of Tywin, who wants to divide and weaken Daenerys. But he accepts that he gave info to Varys about Daenerys and even her pregnancy. Daenerys says that the poison attempt on her was because of the info shared by Jorah. She exiles him from Meereen as a result. Jorah says that he protected Daenerys, fought for her, bled for her, loved her, but she is unmoved and determined.
