Stunning -- just stunning

This is unbelievably great television.

I don't understand the Sorkin haters.

Anyone who can watch this episode without admiring Sorkin is beyond my comprehension.

And the acting and direction live up to his vision.

Truly superb.

Everyone in our living room was simply riveted to their seats the whole time.

I've been biting my fingernails waiting to see whether there were really only 2 more episodes after this or whether we'd all have a reprieve. I understand that Sorkin announced on Friday that he'd been extended for another season. Thank goodness. HBO, you have an extraordinary show here. Well done, all.

Best episode so far

Warning: Spoilers
The conference room scene is so Sorkin it's crazy. This show might be the best thing Sorkin has written and that includes the social network and the West Wing.

Persona Power of Lady Jane Fonda

Warning: Spoilers
Whoa! What a terrific episode of television viewing. Every episode of this series that Jane Fonda appears in becomes sensational due to the very presence of her powerful performance persona.

During this one, she's wearing a stunning ball gown that makes being a 76yo woman look more like a 30yo one. When she turns her back to the cameras, the sheer material at the top of the gown is strewn with black streams of sequins. Gorgeous. Simply gorgeous.

That aside, Fonda doesn't have to appear in every episode for this viewer to know without a doubt that she's the boss. After watching the last minutes of this episode, Fonda's character establishes herself as an extremely business-minded and centered CEO and a half who's not about to put up with mistakes.

Turning on that Lady Jane Fonda (her real name) charisma as well as her very shrewd business sense to be her character, Fonda easily steals the show with an irate monologue aimed at the characters of Daniels, Waterson and Mortimer.

My jaw dropped in awe of how her performance persona came across the screen into me.

Television viewing has rarely been so refined as it has been for the past two seasons. Great writing and acting!

Downward Slide of Promising Show 2.7 **
edwagreen29 August 2013
Warning: Spoilers
Sorry to state, but this once very promising show has gone downhill in quality since the beginning of this season.

Notice that lead anchor is being given less to do as the show is starting to concentrate around the subordinate cast. Jeff Daniels, a fine actor, deserves far better than this.

As for the latest episode, who really knows what is going on and why did Daniels and the rest of the team feel that a resignation was in order? After all, ACM news did not drop nerve gas on Afghanistan, whether it was done or not.

Jane Fonda comes in the last five minutes or so and denounces any talk of resignation. She mouths off with the four letter word twice and it's unbecoming her character to do this. She portrays Leona, she is not supposed to be Leona Helmsley.

Hopefully, the 2012 election results will be depicted better. The way the show is going, I'm wondering if they'll declare Romney the winner. Then the entire show can resign for good.
