John Taschner, recently lost his grandfather. He was instilled by him a passion for diving. Shortly after a school assignment was given to research World War II, John went to his grandfather's cabin to clear out his things. There he finds documents detailing a secret mission he was a part of.
John narrates the story of his grandfather who went from a talented young man, passionate about radio to being recruited by the government for a top secret World War II mission to create radio technology, now known as radar. This story is shown through historic and archival footage, old home movies, and high definition underwater photography shot in Hawaii and the Pacific.
